Finally finished watching BALH epi 1 :)

Ekta is Ekta-ing again after a longggg time.....you can always tell when Ekta starts phoning in an episode half-way....lol this time the effort is showing in how they've put together the story, the tropes, the emotions from all sides....

Bhagya's character is a relevant and identifiable FL after a longggg time. A career woman choosing to be single rather than being some kind of bechaari jisse kisi ne shaadi nahin ki....and the way she faces all the jeers and criticisms she gets for it is also quite maturely shown so far rather than being caricaturish.

The Priyas of both BALH1 and BALH2 had very caricaturish sides to them....so far, Bhagya is surprisingly subtle as a lead and not just lecturing or screaming for the heck of it.

Kaddu is a munchkin and a total scene stealer so far....haha itna fluffy sa toy lagta hai that you just want to pick up.

Finally HC ki entry in the end was also quite subtly done I would say beyond the usual cliches of how Ekta has shown like a bazillion of these first meeting scenes in her shows....again I will say EFFORT to do a scene well was showing after a long time on ITV....lol the way they connected the whole "pay it forward" aspect of one person's selfless good deed coming back to them in another form.

So Bhagya is head of a makeup company and yeh Rishab uska assistant banega I guess.....haha should be interesting dynamic.

+1 to everything as I was saying it is so refreshing to see a female character having her clear thought process but not sounding forced in anyway or pretentious. She is independent have a dukh character past and she is having issues dealing with it yet she hadn't become a hai main abla or psuedo feminist in it ke har insaan hi bura types.. she works hard beleives in being self reliant without coming across as judgemental ya sirf main hi theek hoon types and baaki saari duniya galat.

Totally kaddu stole the show..such a cutie 💓 nobody can hate that cutopie..I liked that HC's character heard her shikayat about being lonely and tried to cheer her up indirectly and thag they weren't being judgy of each other either even though they got a glimpse in each other's character beyond the typical hello hi/meetings saw the fairly private sides of each other and got to know each other more on a deeper level as strangers crossing paths now..it was beautifully shot and executed had such a soul to it woh Ekta magic from early 2000's jahan people would wait for these first meetings / hit n misses/ takars

Baaki I actually liked the support cast so far too nobody is coming across as forced despite the cliches . Agree that Ekta did indeed seem to have given it some attention and tried to go back to her core and bas time pass shayad nahi Kia even though yahan name main hadh level laziness displayed but shukar hai actual product has effort and hardwork and proper storytelling..also happy ke yahan the name is not Priya.. Hopefully hc is not a ram either..bhainaur bhi naam hain zamane main ab kab tak wohi kichoge so that is giving it more of freshness too

Haha HC ka name toh Rishab hai ismein so no Ram Kapoor hangover this time mercifully.....they have flipped the whole dynamic by showing FL as the rich CEO instead of the ML.....lol so ML is being shown poor now and isliye he can't be Ram Kapoor

HC ne bahut time baad thoda easygoing character pakda lagta hai....he can be mischievous like he was shown with the watchman but phir bhi ek sweetness ke saath mischief kar raha hai rather than being OTT.

And the first RB scene with the MU about job v/s shaadi talks was also a well done scene.....again, surprisingly subtle by Ekta standards....lol she really meant it this time I guess when she said slow burn story dikhaa rahi hai

And word about supporting cast....office gang is being shown naturally so far.....baaki woh creeps in the society and all wala stuff is also not that OTT yet....itna sab toh hoga hi in an Ekta show.

Precap mein shayad her ex has shown up I guess....so story is that she ran away from home to marry the guy that her family had opposed but then the guy also ditched her so now she is too scared to give love another chance. Her friend also keeps explaining to her that love and shaadi are different things to manage.....lol

Yup it took me a bit to register that and am glad it is not ram. they did jhol with the timeline aate hi he met sunny and then it was instantly night when they got out bhai poora din kya karta raha but ok khair jaane dia. was amused by him bringing that wannabee sunny to aukat by his sunny leeches again and again haha and yes the whole misunderstanding wali meeting was so well done.mi enjoyed it caz it had the right amount of actual mistaken identities but not OTT and a meaningful conversation with him telling her ke donehst you do and salary ke zeroes se insecure hone wale are not worth it..I did likenhow after finding out the truth they both reacted so subtly too..I didn't think ke yeh bhagu itni jaldi maan jaayegi her friend's advice and will take it seriously but she did and I am also glad ke despite my feeling she actually went for actual shaadi and wasn't planning koi shortcut.even though riskym her backstory was done well too imo short and to the point . Ab bechari ke liye problem higi and will fast track her shaddi plans too with the ex showing up and probably gonna be taunting her over her being single..rishabh will come to her rescue then..

Woh neighbors are just sooo creepy I was just🙄 at that lame banda nit respecting any personal space and uppar hi chadhe jaa raha tha and her not objecting sooner when he came this close woh off tha for me but I can overlook it for now.

Friend ka dynamic bhi interesting hai with roles reversed lol at how she was daant lagaooing her husband constantly jo bechara itna sweetly bache sambhal raha tha hahaha

and the rest we got to see bhagya kaise bhagi kya hua etc her past it was all good except that her telling the story in the void and not noticing rishabh standing behind and listening everything was sooooo off matlab this time to no wall ya kuch bhi sedha peeche khada didi ko notice na hua and she kept going on and on about her dukhi kahani in hawa

baaki yeh mr anil ne sabke saamne soft proposal bhi kar dia.. and huamra rishu guilt main roast ho raha itna dukhi ho gaya bechara ke meri wajah se uska mood or kharab ho gaya pehle hi itni dukhi hai and ab worrying about his job but Boss Maam ne kaha No problem .. good that you used your brain and you were not trying to hurt so it's fine.. phir chali blow dryer wali hawa so they can have a moment haha .. bhaiya got achi salary and the intentions to make him permanenet and he got so imrpessed and touched itni tareefein karne kaga and madam went office main no personal baatein.. it is so adorable them beign touched by ek dusre ki achaai over and over again..

baatein zyada karne ki aadat hai isko bechara bol raha hai meri dandruff iss liye pooch lia kaunsa shampoo use kia it si adorable how he goes on in the flow and then tries to reason aww he secretly wished for BossMaam ki Har khushi and said main hoon Boss Maam your shubhchintak always behind you and as per precap mr shubhchintak is catching this vikram redhanded too looks like cheating BossMaam toh dekhte hain

Rishab is just such a softie....I'm still amazed that HC is playing such a character.....lol it's so 180 of anything he has played before....Rishu ke reactions to all situations are so refreshing from typical MLs....and the way they have reversed the male-female gender/power dynamics in this truly shows Ekta's guts to take risks and go against current ITV norms.

Loved how Bhagya came and just matter of factly reassured Rishu that he won't lose his job over this one mistake cuz he didn't do anything jaanboojh ke.....

The thing that most stands out to me....they are showing a man noticing a woman's ability to rise above her vulnerabilities and pain and still keep her professional responsibilities going....the way Rishu was admiring Bhagya so much for the fact that she has faced all this tragedy but no one can tell that given how professionally she conducts herself.

That a man is being shown floored by a woman's kindness and strength....Rishu calling her tough but fair and Bhagya just being matter of fact with him.....lol such refreshing and heartwarming interactions to watch :)

Same!!! This has brought such a fresh change change the office romances shows and also thankfully because of this flip we are saved from seeing idiotic assistant giving childish names kind of bakwaas and doing abnormal harkatein in name of getting noticed and building a dynamic..yet they have kept a very easy fun vibe in between the leads. It has such maturity even with rishabh ka light hearted fun..he is not shown as an idiot or bhagya being irritated by the gareeb assistant. What I really admire so far is how grounded both the leads are..she has no attitude about being the head. Caz agar kabhi pehle kisi ko dikhaya bhi hai tih faltu ke attitude ke saath. They are attracted towards ek dusre ka achaai and woh ek dum saaf dil wali soch and that makes it worth it.

Also must say it is really refreshing to have week 1 gone by without a 3rd angle per say in a most conventional way and being evil off the BAT. Yeah we know yeh Vikram shady hai and all but he isn't unbearable right off the bat as of now

Well malayalam industry can make another fully original drishyam i thought u meant they are announcing it in hindi first caz I totally suspected they will uthao the recent mohanlal blockbuster and amazing one at that called thudaram. Man the twist in that and call it drishyam 3. I have full faith in Mollywood..they have been consistently pushing the bar and killing it the first half of 2025 ek se bhadhkkar ek fantastic films and mostly 100% original
