I liked Squid Game's season 2 a lot! I read many negative reviews on social media. Most of them said season 1 was much better than season 2. But I like season 2 very much for some reasons. I'm writing the reasons, and if you don't have any problem with reading spoilers, only then read this post.

Here are the reasons:
1) Gi-hun's character development: He became much braver and stronger in season 2. Now he doesn't even feel afraid to die. He can go to any extent to take revenge and put an end to the deadly games. He was always a flawed character. At the beginning of the first season, he used to bet money on horses, he stole his mother's debit card, and he couldn't provide financial stability to his child. That's why his wife divorced him. He was a failure in his life. But he was always sympathetic. And now he is a man with purpose. He told the frontman to make him a participant in the deadly games again. He risked his life again, went there to play the games for people whom he didn't even know. He also didn't touch the prize money because he considered that to be blood money. Both of these things speak volumes about his character. It shows he cares about human beings and humanity deeply. His character development is very good in the show.
2) The recruiter: Gong Yoo! The name is enough! Gong Yoo's acting was absolutely phenomenal in the first episode of season 2! He was there for only one episode and totally nailed it. It's difficult to believe that he never played a negative character before Squid Game and performed only positive characters and lead roles in shows and movies.
3) The confrontation scenes between Gi-hun and the recruiter: Both Gong Yoo and Lee Jung-jae are very good actors. Gi-hun and the recruiter played a game of Russian roulette. Their confrontation scenes and the scenes of Russian roulette were quite intense. I really liked those scenes.
4) The frontman: The frontman participated in the game only to win Gi-hun's trust. I like the fact that Lee Byung-hun played a major role in season 2. In season 1, he was only a cameo. There is a famous saying. "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer." The frontman did the same in season 2. He pretended to be Gi-hun's friend, manipulated him into believing he was a nice and trustworthy person, and then backstabbed him.
5) The trans woman: I liked the character of the trans woman. At the beginning, most of the men didn't want to take her into their teams. But at the end of the season, it was shown that she was much braver than many men. The actor usually plays the roles of villains. He doesn't do this type of role. His acting was very good in a revenge drama named The Glory. He was a villain and a horrible man there. But the transwoman's character is different. She's a nice person.
6) The old woman's changed view towards the trans woman: She was transphobic at the beginning. She told his son a transphobic comment when she saw the trans woman for the first time. But when she became the trans woman's teammate and interacted with her, she started liking her, and her view towards her changed. Then the old woman didn't remain transphobic anymore.
I don't think I'll be able to receive 70K shares ever like Ajab.
11 shares seem a lot to me. Yes, Squid Game is extremely popular all over the world. It's the most-watched series on Netflix. The genre is survival thriller. But it's much more than that. It's an allegory of capitalist society. The visuals of this show are not only striking but also symbolic. It's both really thrilling and very emotional at the same time. There is a lot of violence and bloodshed in the show. So, if someone feels overwhelmed because of the violence shown in the series, it can prevent him from understanding the deeper themes.
