Oh yes, I watched Harshad Chopra's another show, Amber Dhara. He was a close friend of Amber and Dhara. He was Amber's love interest too. It was based on the lives of conjoined twins, Amber and Dhara. It was a good show. It was very different from many other ITV shows. I liked the show. Even though Amber used to love Akshat (Harshad Chopra), she knew she would never be able to marry him. Amber and Dhara went to Mumbai because Amber wanted to become a singer, but an evil guy made them join a circus. In the real world, conjoined twins face a lot of issues. I feel very bad for them. It's good that an Indian show was made on conjoined twins.

Bold@ Yes, yes, I understand that. I'm not saying there aren't good reasons behind its popularity. There must be some reasons for the positive comments about Bepanah. It's just that romance isn't my preferred genre. Yes, some Indian shows are good. For instance, Paanch 5 Wrong Make A Right was an absolutely amazing show! It was telecast on Channel V many years ago. I used to study M.A in English literature at that time. I really liked the way the protagonist, Roshni Kataria took revenge on 5 people who bullied her elder sister extremely and were responsible for her death. The actors were also very good, specially the actress, Rashi, who played the role of the main antagonist/negative character, Gauri Laada.

Aren’t these characters supposed to be coming out of deep emotional trauma? You’d never know it from how they’re acting. There’s no hesitation, no emotional weight — just a rushed connection with zero buildup. Where’s the growth, the space to grieve, or the time to develop any real emotional bond? Instead, everything’s on fast-forward like they’re trying to wrap up a checklist.

When Savi moved on after Ishaan’s death, they at least had the decency to show that years had passed. But now? It’s been what — weeks? And she’s already hugging a man she barely knows? It doesn't feel organic. She either comes off as desperate or worse, as someone who just can’t function without a man in her life — which is the worst possible portrayal for a character who’s supposed to be ‘strong and independent.’ It’s honestly pathetic.

Finally! Some unbiased and proper discussion! smiley27 smiley27 smiley27

I couldn't have agreed any more. smiley32 smiley32 smiley32

This is exactly what I had mentioned earlier - when it comes to ITV, we are extremely hypocritic and judge the protagonists for moving on just because they are supposedly SOULMATES of the other lead. Otherwise, in international shows, I have seen more pairing building up and then breaking down.

BUT...

As you have rightly mentioned, there's always proper build-up and clarity with regards to the relationships.

It doesn't have to be love. We do need a friend/companion because at the end of the day you want someone to be there for you when you are down, to share your stories, just listen to you when you want to be heard. It can be your siblings, it can be a friend, or it may be your spouse. This emotional support is essential for our well-being and frankly, it doesn't have to be sexualized all the time.

Even if Neel and Savi got married in the future, I would accept it if there was that build-up and a proper clarification as to what type of relationship they share. If they actually fell in love, even that would be acceptable. Just because the loved their partners, doesn't mean they have to spend all eternity mourning their deaths.

However, it should have been organic.

On the paper, Savi hasn't moved on. And if someone clearly watches the episodes, she's still very much in love with Rajat and isn't even paying attention to Neel. But then again, how do I take that seriously when the makers are telecasting episodes with them dancing and kissing and what not! It's not just about the sequences but how they are being shot. Fine, I get Savi kissed Neel to escape from the police, but why was the sequence shot as if she was entirely lost in him? And now, suddenly all Neel can think about is Savi. Why does it matter so much to him when they were just investigating?

This issue is glaringly obvious. On one hand they are trying to portray the characters as good but on the other hand they are making them do everything which go against what they stand for. At this point, neither can I criticize them because narration-wise they are still faithful to their partners, nor can I accept it because execution wise both of them look desperate.

One thing is very much clear - Param and Bhavika do compliment each other. So fine, go ahead, make them a pair. You have already killed off Rajat and Tejaswini so what's the worst that you can do? But at least show something that makes sense.

Neel - who couldn't say one sentence without stammering is now beating up goons, threatening around IPS officers and behaving like a goon.

While Savi, who always stood against wrongdoings on her own, beat the crap out of offenders, who never sought any support from anyone, at least in the previous generations, is now hugging and kissing a random stranger. And she is an IPS officer for God's sake! So do you want us to believe she's so desperate that she can't function without a man's support? This is the worst form of character assassination they could have done.

Ever since the news of Bhavika rejoining came in, S3 fans have been sl*t-shaming the character Savi - some directly and some with sugar-coated words. But it's Neel who is falling first. Can't explain the sadistic pleasure I felt just for this particular reason. smiley15 smiley15 smiley15

Both Neil and Savi are wrong in this. Neil is clearly falling first and acting like nothing is his fault. Savi is not innocent either. But the double standards are clear. Savi gets all the blame while Neil gets away like he did nothing. Both are part of the mess so both should be called out.Period.

Exactly!

Both are somewhat right, and then somewhat wrong. The horrible execution doesn't help either. But when it comes to Savi, she's desperate, can't live without a man, and some even went out to say, she won't mind sleeping around with random strangers.

This is SICK, and I'm sorry to say, even worse in taste on our part than what the makers are doing currently.

Yes, it's a fictional character and maybe I'm a bit biased since she was my favorite character in the show. However, under any circumstances, I can't think about s**t-shaming another woman whether it's real or reel.

On the other hand, Neel gets scot-free while he's the one who's always approaching Savi.

If we have to criticize, we should call out them both or none.

This can't only be done just because the character was brought back from the previous season. PERIOD

Savi getting sl*t shamed is getting on my nerves too. Poor thing is getting harassed everywhere. Some are targeting Bhavika also for returning to this show.
