I think how arMaan feels is not as relevant as how abhira feels to change the story... When we get his flashbacks he thinks of their happy moments ..because she has not cheated him , hurt him, abused him or betrayed him. So probably when he sees her again,.he’ll want her again, like abhimanyu wanted akshara back the moment he saw her again and even proposed to her when she was already married to abhinav. But when abhira thinks of Armaan..she only remembers his abuse,,and she’s actually scared of him..like abused wives are. She didn’t even want to say Armaan name or accept Armaan Guptas case …because armaans abuse has traumatized her so much. Remember that bank incident as well. She imagined Armaan verbally abusing her again..So she’s not going to be running back to him the moment he makes puppy eyes for her.
