Gosh, much ado about nothing.

They obviously called it a Gucci sari in the Indian market because that audience would react positively to that. And called it a gown on the Gucci account which has more international followers because that's what they know.

Alia is not going to do personal PR related to the outfit that goes against whatever Gucci wants. Nobody screws up their relationship with the brand with those types of antics. In fact, if it was Alia doing things on her own, she would have called it a lengha because she actually knows the difference, not a sari.

Didn’t why didn’t Gucci call it their interpretation of a sari? They just called it a gown. They didn’t even mention a word about it having anything to do with any kind of Indian attire.

There’s no brouhaha. People just pointed out that Alia made 💩 up for extra attention. Her fans are just triggered that Alia’s little PR gimmick got exposed; so much so that now we’re in the “the emperor has no clothes” phase here with her fans actually insisting it’s a sari
