Hello to everyone! It's been so long since I came to this forum, I had sort of forgotten it existed. Today I suddenly remembered that they might've unlocked the CID forum now that the show is running again.

So, is anyone here who has dutifully watched all the episodes? In my case, it was like someone in this thread said before, the promotions ruined it for me. It had everything that had made me stop watching CID in the first season. But months after Season 2 started, I watched a few episodes, and while I still hate the unnecessary drama, I have to admit it's much better than the episodes from last season where ACP kept shouting and doubting, Salunkhe was turned into a villain who hated Abhijeet, Abhijeet (supposedly the sharpest of the group) had lost all brain cells and turned into a crybaby who needed rescuing every second day by Daya, etc.

I even like the layout of the CID bureau better this time. It's a mix of the classic CID era (Asha and Sudhakar times) and an modern outlook. I was expecting to see how I last remembered it with no tables and chairs and computers turned into holograms like Iron Man's lab.smiley36

It's still a show meant for kids who love too much drama and are not realistic enough, but overall, I was pleasantly surprised.smiley10

P.S. Any old CID forum members here? I'm not sure how many people might recognize me since I've come back after a long time.

Hi and welcome back to the forum. Yeah I remember you. You , @Nandiniraizada and @Kulasya were the first members I interacted with whenI joined this site almost six years agosmiley1 do you remember me?

Season 2 was ok at first. Some of the episodes were really good but I stopped watching it after 12 episodes cause I wasn't able to feel that connect to the show with Freddy sir gonesmiley19plus they almost turned it into Aahat season 7 by introducing a lot of supernatural elements.

Then the whole "Return of the eye gang" arc made me watch the show again. The storyline failed to live up the hype it generated cause the creatives kept and are still dragging the storyline without a proper storyline. The poor execution of this storyline made me lose interest in what was supposed to be the best arcs in season 2.

Hi there! Did you change your username? Sorry, I don't think I remember seeing your current one before. What name did you go by back then? I usually remember those more easily than usernames because people change usernames so often.

Yes, that's so true. The first time I tried watching the episode, I couldn't watch it more than 5 minutes because of the absolutely rubbish graphics. I wish they'd use more natural shots like old times. Those looked so good.

And then, when I finally watched an episode, I kept thinking it is missing something. Couldn't think what but then after seeing Pankaj scolding the juniors for badmouthing the trio, I immediately thought of Freddy. They gave Pankaj his role! That's when I realised that Freddy was in fact the key missing factor.

I had already stopped watching cid by the time the eye gang story was aired in season 1. I only watched a couple of episodes when I saw people talking about it on IF. I'm happy to follow it this time around but I'm going to follow the show in my own time. I've cheated and skimmed through a few episodes to know if ACP is coming back (didn't find out muchsmiley36). And I've watched the latest 2 or 3 episodes. Now I'm slowly catching up on the older episodes. Watched up to episode 4 till now.

The promos were horrible imo. Those were the reason I didn't feel like following this season's episodes from the very beginning. I thought they were going with that old, overused drama, and that it's going to turn out to be something like the Daya-Shreya track, or worse, the Giraftaar series. Thankfully, that wasn't the case and they shut that storyline quickly enough. I mean, I know it could potentially be turned into an amazing story but I don't really trust them to do justice. Better keep my duo as they are and I'll try to forget how completely out of character Abhijeet was once again. Or the numerous other things that are unrealistic.
