That's not my calculation but the central government percentage of reservation (49.5%), and it has been same since last 20 years when I was preparing for engineering.

Yes there are certain states with lower reservation (very few most have at least till the level of central government reservation with few like Tamilnadu having 60% reservation) the lowest being 32.5% reservation in West Bengal (excluding the EWS reservation which increases it to 42.5%) so then your supposed data is for some very minority state.

But then the point is if you really remember nothing about that survey isn't it possible that you also misremember the inference of that survey.

It's easy to gain contact details from teachers or registrars. The people who carry out such surveys often have inside contacts. And they can also carry out after-class interviews in the college itself. It's not a hard thing to do.

That's not true.

Most of the SC ST candidates who succeeded in clearing the exams now come from affluent families. I have studied in a government college and hardly 2% of my reseverd category classmates were from poor households, most of them have parents in high positions. Yet they were given free books (we had to purchase if we needed) and it's not generational wealth, but wealth by parents who have attained high positions due to reservation at their times.

As you said the poor don't have access to same school and tutors, so that happens among the reserved candidates as well. The ones from affluent families (which are there in quite a number after 2 generations of reservation) have better access to schools and tutors and they easily get seats in these reserved category over the poorer ones

Bold: This depends on the number of total reserved candidates in a particular class or institution, which is not the same everywhere. What happened in your college is not the case in other colleges. It varies. You need a bigger sample size of various institutions in order to argue this.

Yunus is now resorting to cheap faux resignation drama after their army started to revolt. I hope he faces the same fate as Imran Khan.

That I agree my college might not be the correct sample size. However the statement in general is correct. The ones with better school and tutors will have higher probability of getting selected..

That isn't there to the poor students (as compared to the rich reserved candidates) so obviously the poorer ones will not be able to compete
