Yeah it's long. She's asked what she feels about him saying she was his first crush. I don't remember where but I had read some interview of his ages ago where he had said that. She also talks about the prospect of playing his mother on screen. She feels she's too glamourous to play his mum lol Ok that sounds different when put like that. You 'll have to listen to it.

So it turns out Raj Kapoor refused to let Mumtaz do Mera Naam Joker because she had been seeing Shammi and Raj thought it would be disgraceful for a Kapoor Bahu to be seen in short clothes. From that, to Photo Chipkalo Fevicol se ,we have come a long way haven't we

O wow, I didn't know Shammi & Mumtaz dated.

But not letting a future prospective bride to do a movie because she would be seen in shorts vs convincing other actresses that showing boobs is artistic. This person was a scum.

Raj Kapoor was a skilled filmmaker and good actor but apart from that a quite despicable person - as far as I got to know.

Yeah. He was full of it. Pretty sure Zeenat has ugly stories to tell. Never a good idea to marry one of them anyway.

Raj (and also his two brothers) had a quite checkered life. Prithviraj had an arranged marriage with 17 (his wife was 15) and when Raj was born, his dad was 18. Raj was 7 when his brother Shammi was born and 14 when Shashi was born...in between two other brothers died and his sister was born. A lot of travelling, especially with the Prithvi Theatre, also changes of school, with 10 a child artist, married at 22, father at 23, with 24 his own production company...

I don't know a lot about Shammi, but Shashi seemed to be more balanced (at least as long as Jennifer lived... he got very depressive after her death).

Zeenat??? Were she and Raj even romantically together (not only professionally)?.

He is not even a good actor. Copy pasting Charlie Chaplin in every movie is not acting. As far as being a director, more despicable and wannabe-ish than anything else.

As for the interview, it's unfortunate that it is only in Hindi with Hindi subtitles...Mumtaz certainly had interesting things to tell.
