Why hasn’t Ishaan Khatter gotten mainstream success yet?

I really do wonder why? Is it because Ishaan lacks the looks, height, glamour and charm of a typical mainstream Bollywood hero? He seems to be stuck with these OTT projects only! And I highly Homebound will really do anything much for him despite all the international acclaim it’s getting from Cannes and whatnot!

At least Shahid was much cuter and he seemed like full package even though he couldn’t go that far career-wise but still professionally… Shahid did way way better than his brother, if you ask me!

I think its because he looks very young, and so doesn't have that 'hero' kind of screen presence

Homebound will get him critical acclaim, but he's done previous critically acclaimed stuff such as Beyond the Clouds and A suitable boy, and none of these made him into a mainstream hero

Shahid looked like a kid. Now he looks like a kid with a beard. Ishaan looks way better and as he gets older he'd grow into it.

Because he has a baby face like his brother Shahid but at least, Shahid could act and Shahid had good chemistry with some actresses like Amrita Roa, Kareena, Priyanka and Kiara but Ishaan doesn’t have that factor either. He looks very ordinary. Like him, his co-actresses are boring too like Jhanvi and Ananya.

Hmmm as a matter of fact, I feel Shahid is the better looking sibling and he also has a more Bollywood/camera-friendly photogenic face unlike Ishaan but YMMV I guess…

Ishaan is equally good actor and dancer as his brother.

I don’t think he got a breakout role in Bollywood that will give him popularity yet. He has success with The Royals and The perfect couple. I liked Pippa

But still Shahid was a million times better looking and much easier on the eyes though, my dear Ami! hehehe

I would say Ishaan is still doing much better than many other nepo kids content-wise and doesn't really give much damn about fame and all, rather he focuses on his crafts. While Shahid has always been charming (from a chocolate boy to a dashing man now), Ishaan kinda lacked that factor when he debuted. But now Ishaan has begun to understand his assignment, that in Bollywood only skills alone don't work, hence he's gradually grooming himself and looks much better now compared to how he used to look like in the beginning. Also I think curl hair doesn't suit him, he should change his hairstyle big time..!!
