It still does not prove he is not culprit, pretty much as skashi can not be proven to kill Vilas. Right now case stand at MB could be innocent and sakshi could be suspected as a killer and Priya could be suspect of helping her facilitating it.

Opposition can argue MB himself sent a message after killing him to save himself. Yes. There is a time gap and message came from vilas’s phone, but no one knows who sent it. It does not tell who did it. It could be either Priya or MB. Gun has MB finger prints. Priya is eye witness so they need as Arjun said beyond doubt evidence to prove him innocent and her as a murderer
