I like the fact that he said such toxic characters acche lagte, "I hope not", par acche lagte hain... That was so fresh coming from an actor. I like the fact that he acknowledges the forced nature of such characters in most narratives due to audience pressure. He does seem a lot more disappointed with the change and reveals that OG Neil's character was tough for him because it was different from recent MLs and the roles he himself has played in the past. But why was he speaking so much at length about co-actors and what they bring to the table?! 😂 Reading between the lines toh pakka sab karenge. 😂 Especially the co-actor's level part. 🤦‍♀️ I also felt that he seemed disconnected from the interview. The blurred background looked weird to me. I seriously don't know why I notice such insignificant things. 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️smiley37

What I didnt understand is that who is he talking about? Vaibhavi or Bhavika in this context of co-stars making the scene easy? To me it was as though he is more comfortable playing Neil 2.0 because he said Neil 2.0 is closer to how Param is. This interview seemed totally unnecessary as I feel more disappointed now after watching thissmiley22

Yes yes. He is more comfortable with this Neil because it's familiar to him and similar to him. But he also subtly acknowledges that he liked playing OG Neil and took that as a challenge. So I really don't know and can't deduce what he's implying. 😕

As an actor, his job is to play different roles and characters rather than portraying one type of role throughout and get stereotyped for it. I am surprised that he is happy to play Neil 2.0 whereas the OG Neil had so much potential as a character and for him to shine out of this challenge as an actor. Param seems to have accepted this change but he is not thinking wrt viewers wanting to see him differently than his earlier roles.

Can't do anything about it. It's his role and his job. I can't even find meanings out of his statements now. It's a personal preference, but I find gentleman type characters to be the most appealing, both visually and thematically. I don't like toxic characters who look like they're about to attack you anytime. Too intimidating and not at all easy on the eyes.

TejNeil fans can just lament the loss of Teju and her Neil now. 😭😭😭

I agree, I too dont like toxic characters and like lighthearted, gentleman with simplicity both in real life and in fiction. No idea why ITV audiences have such a drift and change liking towards toxic characters that even the actors support it. Anyway, for me this show ended with 90 episodes until when TejNeil were there and until when Neil was Neil, the non-toxic doctor hopelessly in love with an upcoming singer. It ends there for me, I too dont want to think too much here. The fate of the show will be decided soon anyway.

Not really sure, what is he trying to say here. To me, it feels like read between the lines!!smiley37smiley37

He looks so exhausted, poor thing!smiley19 I don't think he was meaning anything about the co-actors business, other than answering the question. Clearly the interviewer wanted to get some controversial byte but Dr Saab ne intellectual jawaab de diya.

I totally agree with Pavitra that he himself feels resigned to playing Neil 2.0 due to audience preference. Honestly, at this point, it feels like his mind has exited his body and he is just going through the motions. I have seen his interviews in the past, and he is spacey but he isn't looking beaten down like this...

@b: Toxicity often gets mistaken for passion. For some viewers, traits like obsession, possessiveness, jealousy, or even aggressive confrontation during arguments are perceived as signs of “intense love” (why exactly, I’m not sure — perhaps due to misguided notions, especially among younger audiences.. gotta blame it on Wattpad culture romanticizing red flags and twisted shit )

On the other hand, a gentleman who’s secure in himself and expresses love softly doesn’t spark that same “drama” or intensity. Take Neil, for instance — when he learned about Teju’s past interest in Rituraj, he didn’t lash out or claim ownership over her. He was upset, yes, but it seemed more about Rituraj’s behavior than Teju’s feelings (if I remember correctly).

Neil wasn’t perfect, but his flaws felt human and grounded, not glaring moral issues. Still, larger-than-life characters tend to attract more attention. People often find soft, emotionally mature characters “too real” or “boring” because they mirror everyday life.

For many, shows like these are a form of escapism — and in that lens, relatability isn’t always celebrated. It’s more about the fantasy than the substance.

Which is why Arnav Singh Raizada will always a crazy fandom.

And as for actors supporting this kind of content? It really doesn’t matter. No one’s checking for their personal take. Producers and showrunners decide what sells. If the audience loves toxicity, that’s what gets written — and actors either play along or step out of the industry. Simple as that.

I respect your opinion. There's nothing wrong about moving on. But I want to share a different perspective here. Many guys harbour strong feelings for the girls they love. Tejaswini was not only Neil's first love, but also his wife. Yes, physical intimacy plays a huge role in relationships. It intensifies passion and emotions between two people. But that's not everything. Mental connection is also very important. Neil started singing again after listening to Tejaswini's voice. Her voice touched the strings of his heart in such a way that he sang after so many years. He never felt that way before. Aparajita flower is known as a symbol of positivity in Indian culture. Similarly, Tejaswini brought positive vibes in his life. Aparajita flower is used as a medicine in Ayurveda. Similarly, Tejaswini had the ability to heal his wounded heart. Even if Savi becomes his wife in the future, she can never take Tejaswini's place.

He was most of the time obsessed with her , he can continue that obsession...Tejaswini's time with him was a way too short ...They wrapped up the track too soon that is Ganja's way of getting rid of tracks which they think not bringing TRP ...Ghum makers could have give them some time ...

It is not the producer or actor mainly at fault..It is the " audience " ( TRP gp) they love " doormat FL " and " Toxic ML" ....They want kitchen politics ...The producers are making same stuffs and actors are doing their " jobs" that is as simple as that ....

Now the " green flag ML " is rejected ML will turn Toxic and angry man...See how it goes
