No, Raj, I wasn't there as a tourist...
Didn't you only ask me about Muslims?
Of course I could tell you a lot about my Hindu friends and Hindus in India and Hindus in general.
The first time I was there (for almost 3 months), I didn't get to know the religion of any of those I met because that never became a topic...later one, after 2014, when we talked about, it was refreshing for me to be with my Hindu + Muslim friends together celebrating Ganpati...again later on, after 2014 again, there wasn't this togetherness in the same way anymore.
I didn't get to know - personally - one radical Muslim and less even one radical Hindu. As I don't like religions, I'm more inclined to the more human stories Hindus cherish since even more centuries than the Islam got it's book of faith... but I detest when a religion (any religion!) outcasts others or claims supremacy...Hinduism in general doesn't do that, but Hindutva does...and also Hindutva is claiming supremacy using the bloody Islamic terrorism and other negative excesses Islam can show to fuel the hate against Muslims in general. It's all about dividing and ruling. But that again is politics... there were times when Muslim people and HIndus lived together in peace. There was no Internet and SM yet to spread hate and false informations.
Raj, honestly, I'm tired to write about this topic. I really whish that Islamic terrorism would get eradicated and that India could/would help to do that - the best without more & more people dying or getting hurt. Like Palestine and Israel, Pakistan and India had been put into wars and suffering because of habitat, frontieres, religion and terrorism.
Where did you read this definition of Hindutva ??
