The real answer is there is a time and place for battlefield and time and place for diplomacy. Indian govt appears to be using both and hopefully leads it to logical conclusion. They can’t de escalate what they didn’t escalate but should and will give fitting reply :).

but you have got to applaud what current govt has done…it takes guts to take this call. True... Had any other PM of any other party would have taken the same call I would have as fiercely supported... It's a different thing that only BJP so far showed guts... All the aspirations, dreams of future, bank accounts that we have only matters till our borders are protected and we have serious issues on 3 sides.. Government or Army is not taking these difficult decisions or fighting these difficult wars for aliens. It is for us...Are we this shallow to not stand by them in these critical times and cast doubt on those who are trying to protect us..
