I don't think Neil will doubt Tejaswini (I hope makers are at least consistent with this) because he never had bitter feelings even after knowing Teju loved Rutu not him before marriage. Him going Aditya Hooda way like Bepanaah also doesn't make sense because even in his rose glasses period with his wife Pooja alive, Aditya has been a childish, too talkative, a bit shallow and wrapped in his own lala land guy (like Zoya. Bepanaah was fresh because both male and female leads were shown as sheltered and shallow while parallel leads were shown as having more depth though I hate how that show whitewashed cheating and blamed the victims of spousal cheating). Even Aditya in his lashing out and revenge mode was just a reflection of how a child sulks and throws tantrum after getting hurt. Neil is none of that. Keeping his simping on Teju and weird era during Juhi track aside, Neil has always been the calm and collected one, a bit too understanding and forgiving. So he should grow bitter and maybe rude, very strict with boundaries and not a doormat anymore. Him growing into Aries like impulsive mode will be out of his character as Neil always felt more Piscean and Virgoan (Piscean for giving others too much benefit of doubt and letting world take advantage of him and Virgoan because I felt Neil's love language should've been acts of service) so after hardening up, it will be more of a simmering, just beneath the surface Scorpionic anger with a hint of vengeance (against life, against world, maybe against his own family) peeking and a Capricorn like ambition. I'm more interested in seeing how Neil 2.0 will behave with his family especially Rutu rather than Neil-Savi scenes.
Neil distancing himself from music after Teju's death is actually a brilliant idea keeping human psychology in mind. People distance from common passions after they lose the person with whom they shared that passion. Neil 2.0 may hate music.
I'm hoping to get more Neil and Rutu scenes and Neil giving it back to Rutu instead of being rude with people who don't deserve it.
Caution: It's a long post.
I really don't want Neil to doubt Tejaswini. If he does, then it's not the Neil at the moment. He will be totally different Neil Pradhan. Not the one who called his love Aparajita.
I like how you tried to assign a zodiac sign and correlate the personalities with Neil's character. True, Neil exhibits Piscean and Virgoan qualities in general. He seems to be a flexible person and acts according to others, along with being soft-hearted. He also lets people take decisions on behalf of him. Moreover, when disappointed and hurt, he also gives the most striking taunts and is passive-aggressive. Those are typically the characteristics of a Virgo. Largely, he is a person with Mutable qualities, and both the signs of Pisces and Virgo are Mutable signs.
I'd like to dissect this into two parts: reality and fiction.
If Neil were a real person, I don't believe he would gain the Scorpionic energy. Even Capricorn for that matter. He isn't shown to be a person with fiery personal ambitions or someone who can change into a vengeance filled man, even after total devastation. We know that he didn't confront Teju even after knowing Rutu and her past.
Usually when a man gets to know his wife's past, he feels restless, confrontational and, for the lack of a better word, jealous. Neil didn't show overt jealousy. Instead, he wallowed in self-pity. Also, he lives for others and that's where Tejaswini's relationship with him would've impacted and influenced him to living for himself. But this didn't happen. Neil is someone who would blame himself even in the direst situations. When people go through a grave sorrow like death, their inner, repressed qualities surface. They don't change into a completely different person, rather, their existing traits become more pronounced. They might gradually transform but they'll still be the same at core. Basically, human personalities do not "switch-on/off".
So Tejaswini's demise would probably lead to a reverse psychology situation in real life. He wouldn't blame Tejaswini or anyone else if we go by the current characteristics. He will blame himself for not being there with her. He will feel unfortunate that he left for Konkan, even after Tejaswini's repeated requests to stay back. This is where I think that Neil has repressed Cancerian qualities which might actually surface when Teju passes away. He is extremely sensitive at heart and will have pessimistic thoughts after death. Self-blame will take a front seat due to his inner sacrificial qualities. He has both sense and sensibility, all them are Cancerian traits. He is already intuitive and perceptive as he can read the room and he might become more secretive (read ahead) after this incident. Also, note that Neil is already passive, self-critical and internalises every emotion rather than expressing it.
See, he can't be vengeful so Scorpio is out. He isn't the corporate suave, so Capricorn is out. He isn't the perfectionist either and will obviously change on surface, so Virgo is out too. He will not remain dreamy after his wife's death, so Pisces is struck off the list. However, according to the point I made above, he will be a Cancer with traits bordering around Taurus, but at the core, he remains a Virgo. Like I said, he is under the Mutable signs right now. After this tragedy, he will become a mix of a cardinal and a fixed sign. The perfect combination would be Cancer and Taurus.
After Teju, he will realise the importance of being firm and stubborn regarding family and himself as he will have the tendency to believe that he couldn't refuse his profession and choose his wife in such a situation (see previous bold). This is even clearer if we recollect the previous Konkan trip. Teju taunted Neil that everyone gives their work to him for him to complete. She said that he isn't firm. So in reality, he is more likely to become a stubborn and closed person who can give immense love to everyone but will probably feel like he is cheating if he receives the same affections from others. He will remain in his theory of him being stupid and not deserving or worthy enough of love due to his low self-esteem which hasn't changed yet, again a Cancerian trait.
Now, people in grief can generally choose to either deal with their sorrow or avoid it/distract themselves. Neil's character is built in such a way that he would distract himself. He doesn't allow his sorrow to showcase in front of everyone nor does he express clearly or even properly what he wants. So after Tejaswini's death, nothing will actually change with regards to this aspect. Going further into his shell will not let him do so and all this will need a cover up, which will further lead to him being even more compassionate towards people to the point of forgetting himself. But he'll be harsh towards himself. That's a bit strange to believe, but humans are the strangest of all creatures on earth.
Remember Neil said that he can't lie just like Teju? Now connect it with the theory of people changing only small traits and not their core self after a drastic incident. He will wear a mask of "I'm fine and happy". He will hide his grief and would not be able to move on since he was hopelessly in love. Moreover, he feels his love was unrequited. Unrequited love is even more hurtful since it doesn't have a closure. And that's why Neil would distance himself from music since it is also an unrequited love for him that unfortunately also reminds him of his late wife. All this if and only if he were a real person.
In fiction, Neil might turn out as you're saying but that's so not realistic. I don't think this theory will make any sense to the writers of this show since they're concerned about ratings for now. They might borderline skirt around your take but would make even clearer demarcations between his past and future self. It will more black and white in the show than the little grey that you've predicted. Mine is too blurry and complicated for the TRP audience to understand as it's quite rooted in psychology :)
Also, I am most probably not continuing the show after Tejaswini's character gets a closure so I don't know about Neil-Rutu dynamics but if I would have stayed, then I would've also looked forward to Neil and Rutu scenes than Savi.
