One thing i dont get it that why did the wtitwr have to show him a rapist. He could have been involved in a hit and run driving under influence and it wouldnt have changed the story at all. In fact, then the dialogues would have actually made sense. Why did they have to show him a rapist?

Also why show the wedding of Ammar and Nashwa. Merely nikah would have been fine

Yes, the vehicle which ran over Maheen was his and it was a part of his flashbacks in that episode

R a pe is used to get ratings, easier to connect to people as it involves both things which play with humans - violence and sex

That's why Pak writers use it as plot device

I dont know. They have used the plot of drunk driving in plenty of dramas too and it worked just fine. Like iqtedar and all. Stupid writer should have done the same here. Maybe then she would have had her wish fulfilled of people crying for Ammar
