If you slowed it up a little bit, there was grip, you get the bounce and spin too, you need to mix it up, skid it on and rush it. Reasonably happy with the score, powerplay is pretty big good for us. Jadeja has finished strongly for CSK but still, it's a below par-score on a good batting surface. Hardik won an important toss and his bowlers started quite nicely. Rachin fell to Ashwani Kumar cheaply. Rasheed hung on but struggled for rhythm. The 17-year old Ayush Mhatre came in and showed no nerves whatsovers on his T20 debut. He timed the ball nicely from the word-go and hit all around the ground. A 15-ball 32 from the youngster gave the visitors some sort of momentum but his dismissal once again dried things up for them. Hardik rotated his bowlers nicely and runs were difficult to come by after the powerplay. But, Jadeja and Dube kept their composure and kept the hosts at bay. The latter changed gears and came into his own as his innings progressed, raising a fifty in the process. Jadeja gave him good support and duo stitched a 79-run stand to stabilise things. Dube fell against the run of play and there were no fireworks from Dhoni tonight. But, Jadeja kept going and hit a few lusty blows at the fag end to raise his fifty and took his side to a fighting total. CSK scored 103 off the last 9 overs but did it come too late? Mitchell Santner - I like the odd used surfaces, it's still a decent score, spun a bit, when you bowl slower, it tended to grip and turn off the surface. With the red soil, you could get a bit from the pitch, it's still a good score, hopefully we'll start well in the chase. The last few games, I didn't bowl as much as I should at this venue, I tried to bowl slower, at times the speed works, but on this surface, bowling slower works. Not much, but we'll need to start well in the chase.
