Yeah I understand that. I also get possessive about my fave book characters &/or attached to one specific portrayal of them on screen so I will resist watching anything that even slightly differs from the book canon version or the version in my head I've grown attached to!
Yeah, one day I'll have to just get over it and watch it. With any other character I probably would've by now, coz I've really heard good things about this show. It's just that Anne's been like a best friend/sister/kindred spirit character to me since middle school... this book is a comfort book that I've read over and over in my life, so I honestly think I might be a bit too attached to Anne atp 😅 the red hair was something that she hated about herself and later she learns to accept and love it... and that journey was very special to me. Seeing that important feature changed just feels a bit off.

Yeah, my kiddo is a reader too though her tastes are very different from mine! 
though at least for that show, I'm not missing out on much by not watching it, from what I've heard. It's just the Malec that's been done very well and sometimes make me wanna watch 
we both read similar amounts of books but our libraries were way different
