I guess Urdu is easier and widely acceptable among South Asians, so it is being used to target a broad range of audiences. Most significantly, it sounds polite, respectful, and lyrical.

Talaq is an Arabic word whereas Azad is Persian. Urdu is actually a blend of various languages, which makes it really beautiful!

Purane zamane ke wo romantic songs , pictures mai isse ka asar jyada hai to ahudh hindi kahi kho gayi aur jo ye parashian and arab words are also present in regional languages also naki hindi... U can say that Urdu waa famous also before british come in India ....

Urdu is actually one of the official language of india ....it was originated in india only. In UP state . So it's common for us to use Urdu in daily life especially in Hindi belt. That's why I said it had been used for forever in entertainment Industry kyuki apni hi bhasha hai . But Hindi is more impactful for serious dialogues like u said mukti would have been more impactful than azaadi. In love language Urdu is preferred most of the times coz it obviously sounds beautiful

And also mostly lyricists ko urdu me kafi maharat hasil thi like gulzar etc to sayad yehi waja ho + when I was researching about this on quora to wha mostly said k bcz urdu is more lyrical and sweet to is waja se rhyming me achi lagti thi...

But formal urdu is so difficult and more Persianized so even we can't understand easily....

Ahahahha....obviously I know...India has more Urdu speakers than any other country due to its large population and originated from the subcontinent...

But hindi ke kuch words powerful hoty certain context me like aag etc bcz in Urdu it is aatish but yeah urdu also includes some hindi vocab too with heavy influence of Arabic and Persian....sahi ki kichdi hai ye language 🤣🤣

Acha mazey ki baat, we can understand both languages but can't read due to different writing scripts whereas urdu speakers can read Persian, Arabic and Urdu but can understand due to different grammar structure...surprisingly strange!

It's actually quite common here to understand a language but not able to read it . Like I can understand Punjabi very well but can't read or write it 🤣🤣😂. Same with Urdu lols. Khichdi hi sahi hoti hai sehat ke liye like if u R seeing some lovey dovey scene Urdu will be preferable. If u r watching serious discussions than shudh Hindi will be preferred. Like ....KADI NINDA that we all do of this stupid PH 🤣🤣
