Upma genleap is not working, & it will not run beyond a year or 2 ,but rishta gen leaps have always worked so he won't let it go easily

Apparently a good second chance troupe was written for OG Abhira is what I have heard where Akshu would have probably fall in love with Abhimanyu again. And also it was actually a good way to show things coming a full circle. Abhinav raised Abhir and Abhimanyu would have raised Abhira. Infact even if they wanted to show conflict between Ruhi and Abhira it would have made more sense then because Ruhi would have been loved as she would be a birla but Abhira wouldn’t be a birla so wouldn’t be treated well in birla family. They could have run G3 for another year easily but they had to bring G4 in a rush..

but I don’t think there will be another gen after this

There was no rush to start gen 4. In fact, they seemed set to run gen 3 for another year. But, audience rejected the whole nonsensical second chance troupe. Because, no sensible woman would ever go back to an ex who threw divorce papers in her face, twice. And kicked her out at her worst state. So they were forced to wrap up that pathetic gen and go for a leap. If RS wants, he'll bring in another gen or 2. There's no surety when it comes to Itv.

Accepted or not is a diff thing but they did kill Abhinav for a reason because there was no reason to kill Abhinav. They wanted to reunite OG Abhira and run them for a while. The gen leap wasn’t planned to get there as early as it did. As far as I know it came early because HC refused to renew his contract and also RS probably wanted to start fresh because he was already having so many creative differences with HC. Had they known earlier they would have probably killed Abhimanyu and kept Abhinav but there wasn’t much story with Abhinav around na as there was no conflict as such between Akshnav. But Abhira coming together again and reuniting and Akshara falling in love again would have had a lot of conflicts.. and issues internal and external.

P.S. - I am not a fan of Abhira ship lol. I am not a fan of any ship so this is my neutral POV

Ar and Ruhi co parenting Daksh with maybe Ab being presumed dead was ( might still be) a possible post leap scenario especially with Rohit's vaada pretext .. But Ruhi imagining and dreaming ( and doing other weird stuff) about a very much married Ar makes this post leap scenario seem very unsavoury.

If ruhi realises her mistake, grieves for abhira, supports armaan during his tough times & asks forgiveness from bhagwaan ji for having feelings for abhira's husband .

Phir koi problem hoga??? (Most probably this will be how ruhi's character arc will develop after leap). Tab she will not have feelings for armaan, just families & daksh ke liye shaadi ke liye haan bolegi
