Now many Yumna Stanz on X are very angry and attacking the writer for her words. They're like Yumna did you a favor or only c grade actors pick your work. And also talking about her father. While her words were maybe hurtful these Stanz need to be put on an internet ban list. So immature.

Their behavior should explain why I so intensely dislike shipping and stanning.

My interpretation is that, when they were discussing, the interviewer told that nobody could have played Nashwa better than Yumna. Then the author said that while they were considering Yumna for the role she was skeptical because of the age. I think it's mainly because of the screen age because Sajjal is also elder than Nashwa.
And in that discussion the interviewer told that Sajjal would be too pretty for the role. May be it is the comparison of Sajjal with the character and not with Yumna.

Haan she can nitpick or even play a role in casting but bolne ki kya zaroorat hai?.

But I do think her team and people she works with trust her and know her potential... Kashif Nisar had to fight for her casting in Sila, producers at the time disagreed with him but he was hell bent on having her for the role.

I am not that active on SM... And have never been part PTV discussion on forum.... Pl but I think Yumna faces this a lot esp on the way she looks. It's quite evident on how people are quick to attack her looks in fanwars or whatever it's called. Apparently even the writer of her previous blockbuster show thought another actress was better suited for lead role because of the beauty and romance quotient required and Yumna isn't exactly known for glam roles... It was only Siraj who wanted Yumna. .....Again idk how true this is only read on reddit.

Honestly, I like her simple cutesy look. So relatable. I'm not looking to relate to gareeb mazloom bella hadid lookalikes that give a Zoolander pout at every inconvenience in life

It seems like jealousy is at work here. She really doesn't hang out or party with the industry people despite being a top artist. I think sometimes kind behavior or simple rehna ya life ko humble se Lena bothers people who think you should act like a diva. You're then not part of the cool gang and need to be pulled down.

If we see the writer's previous interview, she mentioned that she wanted Nashwa to be like a natural and also wanted that her fine lines to be seen. Her thought behind Nashwa was like a girl without much make up and look as natural as possible.

May be the interviewer remembered Nashwa's character by Yumna where she looked natural. And compared it with Sajjal and thought that Sajjal would look too pretty to play the character.
