How come SO runs were included in the total runs of the match?

Runs, extras, wickets in the super over are seperate from the main match, they do not count towards the match's official scorecard

SO is played only to decide the winner of the match. Teams just win the super over and the match and not by wkts or by runs.

DC just won the super over and the match, and NOT by 5 wickets

There is a bit of confusion regarding many matters. We are trying to define and decide the total runs, extras inclusion from SO etc.
