I’m assuming you are referring to VK. But the guy has too many records to his name to be called unlucky. He might or might not have been a good captain, but with the amount of cricket knowledge you have ( and I have very little truly), he has records people dream to achieve.

Jab tak Rutu field per nahi aaya tha for toss, no one knew if he is even playing or not.

So him being injured is not a wrong news. Also I don't think they will remove their best batter and one of the best fielder when already there is no one to bat and rare ones can field.

Hope he continued with Captaincy from the next season...
