Khwaab was produced by Essel part of Z group not any outsider producer, If I understand correct.

This was launched as Hindi remake of successful Marathi serial in Dec last, but right from title to marketing and promotions, setting narratives I felt channel went wrong.

OG story was years old dreams of a small town middle class family with financial challenges to buy and move to a bigger house and how a mid-aged unemployed simple house wife slowly starts earning on her own, to contribute to that goal and helps turn buying a dream house to a reality.

Guess many TV viewers got reminded of Anupama / Mangal lakshmi etc. serials with launch promos and montages, so felt its repetitive redundant stuff on empowerment of house wives so serial didn't even attract attention needed by families. Then suddenly makers/writers changed main plot to sick EMA angle of male lead in Feb, added some ott vampish drama which was NOT in OG story, which further dropped viewers attention. Rajashree's IV hints the same.

But need to say with some episodes I happen to watch, Khwaab sets, dialogues, execution, direction, editing felt better than many other Z serials of recent past.

Hmmm... badi badi baatein... vada pao khaate... kuch nahi karte. [dialogues... not the caption.] wasted dialogues. Ye bhi kyu dikhaya pata nahi... could've waited for him on the bed for the SR.

Did like that one of the first things Sriti said in the latest live was "kaafi galatiyaan hui hai humse (and thank you for all the love despite those mistakes)" .... at least its acknowledged ki galtiyaan hui hai. [waise this was not a galti... blunder tha.]
