RR ko Neil ka friend banaa dete who's an orphan and living with Pradhan family after his parents' death. Devar eyeing Bhabhi gives very much ick. Vaise bhi it wouldn't have been that much difference whether RR was Neil's brother or friend.

Already Virat-Pakhi, Ruhi-Armaan ka trauma de rakha hai Sitara ne. Band karo Devar Bhabhi romance.

That's why I miss courtship period in ITV. Marriage ke baad ye sab plot points kaafi icky lagte hain while before marriage, two friends falling for same girl doesn't feel as weird.

I had problems with Sai ka move on, as she was in 30-35 age group and kids, but yahan toh even 60+ are getting partners ek ke baad ek when she isn't right either....US is lucky to witness her greatness....smiley36

See, while I too believe in that old fashioned cliche: We live once in life, love once in life and marry once in life and am not a fan of zaraa si baat par divorce de do ya alag ho jaao. But Anupamaa in the show had all reasons to divorce Vanraj as Vanraj cheated on her and took advantage of her trust.

Though, I feel there's no issue of people finding love at a particular age, I was hoping Anupamaa to at least make a mark as a successful businesswoman first and then marrying some equivalent to her. Anuj ke saath shaadi karke fir vahi middle class girl and ultra rich millionaire boy wala power gap ho gaya. Ki ek sapnon ka Rajkumar safed ghode par baithkar aayega aur mujhe le jaayega types which felt like antithesis to the theme of show Anupamaa.

Also, Anuj and Anupamaa ka romance was too cringe. Like I've seen great portrayals of love story between middle aged couple, but Anuj and Anupamaa ka har kucch kaafi childish lagtaa tha. Actually the way a teenage couple expresses love is very different to a couple I'm their twenties which is different to their couple in their 30s. Also, unka apni marriage ko time diye bina bacchi adopt karna bhi was too rushed. Like Anupamaa already had handfuls of difficult kids and a traumatizing marriage, then why she wanted to again inundate herself into responsibilities for the adopted kid?

Nahi yaar. It's best if they don't bring Juhi again to the show. Mere ko kaleshi Rutu bhi nahi chahiye. Neil and Tejaswini have issues of their own to resolve first and they need tremendous growth in their arc. Also, Neil needs to redeem himself first. Third, fourth wheels k chakkar me leads stop growing. Vaise bhi best love stories are those where leads stumble and pick themselves up and realize things on their own without a third wheel.

Hey everyone! I’m new here on the GHKKPM forum and just thought I’d say hi. I’ve been watching the show for a while and finally decided to join in on the discussions. Honestly, it's nice to find a space where people actually talk about all the drama, characters, and everything in between. Still figuring out how things work around here, but I’m really looking forward to chatting with you all and being part of the community. — Tanvi

I don’t really agree. It doesn’t matter if you are teenagers in love or middle aged couple / old people in love — it’s personal and to be left to the people in love. If they want to enjoy their love / cherish it like teenagers, it should be their choice right ?

@b: it was her and Varnraj’s kids — Anuj wanted a kid they could raise as their own; he did tell her that it was his dream to foster a kid and like his parents had helped him, he wanted to pay it forward. The timing was a little rushed I’ll agree but the question of why would she go through it again is manifestly unfair to Anuj. If you remarry doesn’t mean you can’t have kids once again, and age shouldn’t be a barrier. Anuj is allowed to have kids of his own right ? There are plenty of people who adopt inspite of having kids of their own.

Well, if the show had been good, we would have seen some healthy conversation but that’s too much to expect from a star plus show especially one that’s directed by someone like RS.

It's their choice but it was a bit irritating to watch the same was as it's irritating to watch 40 yo Kdrama male actors making that finger-heart signs in fan meetings. And one can show passion and love in a mature love story too. Like in the song, Tere Bina Zindagii Se Koi Shikwa, Suchitra Sen's and Sanjeev Kumar's characters meet in their 60s. But there is so much poignancy between them despite them not acting like teenagers. Middle aged love stories have their own beauty but the show Anupamaa wasted the potential to show that.

As for your second point, I agree, it would've been unfair for Anuj not to have kids of his own but Anupamaa very recently had came out of marriage and kid related trauma. She needed time to heal instead of rushing into another big responsibility as raising a child again. It's not an issue to adopt kids while having kids of their own, but Anupamaa was still learning to maintain boundaries and I feel she wasn't ready for another kid so soon as she was still stuck in Kinjal, Pakhi and Samar's issues. As I said, everything would've been Okay in another context, but Anupamaa needed to first heal herself and build herself, her life and career up before rushing into another humongous responsibility of marriage and kids.

I think there should've been a proper mature platonic friendship phase as equals for Anupamaa and Anuj before marriage. And even if jab marriage ho hi gayi thi, both needed some time for themselves and each other instead of adopting a kid so soon.

@b: 💯 percent hard agree. Like I said the timing was rushed but the fact they adopted a kid wasn’t wrong or something they shouldn’t have done. Even in a different aspect, couples spend time with each other, understand each other before planning a baby so yeah they could have shown them taking sometime for their relationship, understanding each other’s perspectives and shortcomings. ( this is too much to expect though smiley36)

Parmeshwar ne yeh bilkul nahi kaha ki shaadi ko nibhane ke liye zillat aur takleef bhi sehni hai.@b: if you happen to have kids and husband abuses you, does that mean you should remain in that marriage solely because you happen to have kids ? No religion preaches that.

Or if your husband passes away and you happen to have kids, does that mean they should remain unmarried ?

@red : if my partner and me don’t see eye to eye, don’t want to be together, isn’t it better that we separate instead of cheating or putting up an act for some random 3rd person ?

@green: yahan toh sab structured hai, phir kyun a 3 month old baby se leke 75 year old lady is raped ? Men are not also not spared.
We shouldn’t be able to see these things day in and day out right ? Kaunsa dharm hai jo kisi ke upar zabardasti karna ya haath utana manya karta hai ?

At least, they don’t kill the female kid in womb because she is not lucky for the father/parents.
Problem ideologies mein nahi, log mein hai.

As far as second marriages are concerned, it depends on individuals. There are plenty of cases where it is successful. You are entitled to your opinion and I’m mine 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have mentioned, cruelty and abandonment is a ground for divorce in very first statement ....so why all this....Baaki about second marriage in other cases (only young widows and above is allowed).... it's spiritually disregarded as it's written....

And in cases when you are widow mother you can give life to kids plus religious stuffs..... If it was dissolved because it didn't work out and kids are in picture, sorry then I don't support at all....it's adultery to move on.... whatever....

Life is about values first before pleasures and if we get too liberal, society ruins up....I don't wanna learn from nations with 50%+ broken families and so many unethical normalisations....like 40% out of wedlock kids and fatherlessness...

In India because of poverty and societal factors female foeticide occurs which is wrong still its way better than aborting just because we don't want child, even though culture there is quite open for safety and all.....whereas in India it's still considered wrong by many....

As you said problem is in PPl, marriages were working from thousands of years but now with modern principles which promotes individuality, feminism, multiple options, disturbed culture and values etc etc has increased divorce percentage....neither they were sad nor today PPl are happy....as stats never lie second marriage has 67% probability to end....

That's why I say I follow Sanatan.... without dharma there is no marriage... difference in opinions is fine....
