AB has market value because he is voice of many government programs

Right now, SRK, Salman, Akshay, Ajay and RK are the only actors for whom exhibitors and distributors pay producer in advance, on basis of what their movie might earn

None is paying upfront for AB's movies anymore, producers of his movies a share of profit after release

Include Sunny Deol (after Gadar 2) and - maybe as addition - Vicky Kaushal recently.

As for Amitji, it's mainly support or cameo he does (which is understandable). His last two movies as lead actor had been Goodbye and Uunchai (ensemble cast) - both released in 2022, imo good movies but not commercially successful.

A lot depends on what and whom the current political climate want to support or rather the contrary.
