Can you give me an outline of this drama and what's his role

Hey dear smiley31

Like HM told it's a story of rakshi who wants to run her own shop of meethai. She faced many hurdles to fulfil her dream.

Then there is male lead who wants to open his own cafe. Both of them were rivals first because their shops are in same area. Then they fell in love. But their families were not in favour of their love story, their families got them engaged with their respective cousins. Now if you are interested, you may watch the drama to know how they got married in the end and how their cousins aka fiance fell in love with each other.

Hi Nina

His English and scenes with Zara I loved most.

I wish they will cast them together again.

I LOVED IT !!! It is a light hearted watch so if you are expecting some severe world altering thought process behind it - you will be severely disappointed. So be warned.

So here goes my recap and review so far

1) Rakshi's family are traditional halwais and own most of the sweet shops in the town. Rakshi is the daughter of the family and she really is sweet but extremely ambitious and wants her own sweet shop but her brother Shahnawaz is a little toxic and believes he should inherit all properties. The only support she has is her cousins Sultan(who is in love with her) and Zara. Rakshi is chalak and manages to convince her family to give her 30 days to prove that she will be successful. And here begins the story.

2) On the other side is Sheikh family has enmity with Rakshi's family and their only son Sherry is a culinary school graduate and wants his own restaurant. He gets permission to prove to his dad that he can be successful in 30 days .

3) Rakshi and Sherry are shown to be at loggerheads and end up renting their stores at the same plaza - aamne saamne. There are some misunderstandings initially but they get resolved. Sherry is extreme extrovert and often goes over to Rakshi's shop to annoy her deliberately . Things change between them when they go to a food festival and Rakshi's stall gets attacked. Sherry is at the same festival and he happens to save her. This is the first time that he figures out that her own family is trying to sabotage her. He admires how she is fighting the entire family alone and tries to help her. In a few episodes they become very close - they help in each other in business and also share what their dreams and goals are. They both fall in love.

4) Rakshi's brother along with Rakshi's aunt stop her repeatedly. Sultan who is in love with Rakshi gets jealous of Rakshi's relationship and he pays someone to put rat in Sherry's restaurant and the restaurant closes. This affects Sherry a lot and he decides that Rakshi and Sherry should part ways. Rakshi is devastated. At the same time Rakshi's dad ( old dakianusi abba ji) is unhappy with her relationship with Sherry and forces her with a choice - get engaged to Sultan or lose the store. She choses to get engaged to Sultan because now that Sherry backed off at the first sign of trouble, she has nothing left but the store . Sherry finds out about this and is devastated to hear this even though it was his decision to partways.

This is where the episodes I have watched ends and there are 11 episodes left. Let's see what happens.

Now the review

1) this is a low budget quick Ramzan drama so please don't expect too much out of this. Once again it's light hearted so if you were expecting earth shaking stuff then avoid this drama. Direction and Editing is shitty. Looks like Shahid shafat was disinterested but atleast he gives the kids in the show some room to improvise like some of Shahnawaz's lines were written by Sachal Afzal

2) Sehar as Rakshi and Khushhal as Sherry are awesome and to be honest after the first 3 episodes - they are the ones whose chemistry kept me glued to the screen. They are funny as they fight, sweet when they romance and absolutely delicious when they are separated now in the drama. Yes KK has dialogue delivery problems but man he is such a handsome man and Sherry is a sweet sweet character and Sherry is shown to be so much in love with Rakshi. Sehar is good as usual (other than the first 2 episodes). Sachal Afzal as Shahnawaz is fabulous and was so good that he made me hate Shahnawaz as the villain who cannot speak English very well.

3) If you watch it - please watch it for the tropes - enemies to lovers to separated lovers to re-united lovers. watch it for some sweet scenes between Sherry and Rakshi.

4) Its totally non serious and I love that fact about it.

Ask me whatever you want to and I will try to answer it ASAP !

Follow up

Finally binged and finished the remaining 19-34 episodes after Eid . Here is the rest of the recap and review

Recap :

Sherry and Rakshi are miserable without each other. Sherry also plans with his cousin Malaika to make Rakshi jealous. But Malaika and Sultan (Rakshi's fiancee and cousin) fall for each other. At this point Sultan starts backing out from his engagement from Rakshi. Sherry also starts helping Rakshi as usual because Rakshi still faces trouble at her shop and confesses that he should not have backed out and he still loves her and wants to support her. She also realizes her dad is in financial trouble and regrets opening the shop. Finally she has to close her shop because of financial trouble and sells her shop. Since Sultan backs out of engagement. Rakshi's dad tries to fix her marriage to someone else. Sherry intervenes but to no avail. But in the end Rakshi somehow finds the courage to go after him and we get a happy ending and A BEAUTIFUL wedding ( Sehar and KK are just gorgeous stunning people smiley27)

Review

1) OMG Sehar and Khushhal as Rakshi and Sherry has blown me away. The acting is so easy (probably because they are friends irl). R+S romance is so sweet and healthy !!! A FL who is as passionate about her business as the ML and the hero is not just loves her to bits but supports her. If you have to see IDC for one reason - let it be how a healthy and sweet romance Sherry and Rakshi has

2) Episodes 20-27 tried my patience because the plot doesn't move at all plus the leads are barely there since the focus is on the rest of the tracks but it does have 3-4 scenes where the leads dream about each other . Those dream sequences are TO DIE FOR. Dont miss those.

3) The direction and editing issues continue and it really tried my patience. Let me tell you - IDC works because of Rakshi and Sherry , Sehar and KK being so good together. Also Sachal is phenomenal as Shahnawaz as well as Mashaal Khan as Malaika with good support from Shah as Sultan and Maryam Izaz as Zara. Great effort by the young cast which is the saving grace of IDC.

4) If you were to watch the here is a suggestion
a) Watch 1-19 fully
b) Watch 20-27 knowing that 90% of it is side tracks & It will be frustrating but the scenes of the leads are so good especially the dream sequences. DO NOT SKIP THOSE
c) Watch full 27-34 where we finish with a bang

Lastly - if you want to see how good SK and KK are together I will leave you with 3-4 links to watch so you can decide ( I dont know how to link sorry) but really there are so many good scenes - Rivalry, becoming friends, falling in love, angst and then re-uniting

1) Episode 13 : 9min to 19min
2) Dream Sequence Episode 20 : 6 min - 9 min. and then Episode 24 - 19min - 24 min
3) Episode 29 : 12min to 16 min
4) There is a scene where Sherry proposes to Rakshi and another scene where Rakshi stops Sherry on a highway and proposes to her = brilliant !

Thats all I have to say !!! I am desperately hoping that SK and KK does another project with a good director ( not the disinterested Shahid Shafat) and a good production house that throws some money on sets and editing etc. Green tried to ruin it as best as they can but IDC still is a good watch.

Ok I will try it if there's a good story, but I heard season 2 was bad. Hum Tum I thought would be one of the best as the couple even won an award but their scenes were so lame.smiley24

S01 is very good, S02 is basically marriage video par wahaan bhi chemistry bahut achhi hai.
