Aamir Khan, by miles and miles.

When you watch an Aamir Khan movie you see the character. When you watch a SRK movie you see SRK.

From your comment, I only want to reply on the last remark about SRK in comparison to Aamir:

I think that it is everybody’s choice to reduce SRK to his romantic roles and arms spreading (people still ask him to do so and cheer when he obliged), but calling him less versatile than Aamir is unfair (and even wrong). Going through the different role-departments a really good actor should be able to play successfully (comedy, romance, drama, action, etc. and positive hero, anti-hero, antagonist, villain, loser, lover boy, etc.), Aamir definitely isn’t more versatile than SRK.

Btw, I did not vote as I don’t know what Minty means with “technically”.

Poll should have been between Aamir and RK.What reach those ads got during IPL.

Aamir made mincemeat out of RK.It is like a movie release!

Acting is really subjective because I can barely stand Amir on screen. Dude is just unbearable, especially in his early movies.

SRK has a charismatic personality. He looks quite good in the song, Badi mushkil hai, but Aamir a more better actor than him with more impressive facial expressions than SRK.

SRK is more associated with romantic roles and spreading arms thing...he is less versatile than Aamir.

Both are top tier actors. I’d say Aamir, Shahrkh and Ajay are the best of their era.
