Let’s say I read 5+ books in April, and I want to stay in the challenge, but I know I won’t read much in May. Should I quit and rejoin later? What if, in May, June, or further on, I sign up to read more but end up contributing just a little?
We’ll reassign teams next month. So let’s say you signed up for 6-10 books this time and think you can only do 1-5 next month, you can still stay in the challenge but we’ll shuffle the teams about so they still stay balanced. And if you over or under-contribute, that’s fine too. You don’t have to stick to the numbers you have at the start, that’s just for us to learn your reading pace and put you in teams so it’s balanced. But we get that that’s no guarantee of what numbers will actually turn up. And that’s the fun of the challenge.Originally posted by: Leprechaun

I've a question. What about online fics that are still ongoing. So, a fic with more than 18000 words would count... but only a chapter or two might be added (and thus read) in the given month while the rest were read earlier. Should I log the pages for the chapters read within the time frame... or ignore such fics entirely while counting?
For online fics that are ongoing I’m gonna say you need to read at least 18000 words of the fic for you to be able to log. Else it won’t be fair, reading 1-2 chapters in a month (cos authors maybe slow in updating) would count the same as an OS / TS that we’ve already ruled out. So if you read more than 60 pages of an ongoing fic you can count it.Originally posted by: ssttuuttii
