That is why I said they are Maharashtrian Not Marathi 😀🙏. IMHO all people ( from all communities/ language) who reside or have a domicile of Maharashtra irrespective of language become Maharashtrians ..

Eg shivam Dubey ,Rohit sharma defacto become Maharashtrians

If you have been living in Maharashtr for years on and in many cases for generations yet don't speak Marathi then it is quite shameful. Non of the players you mentioned speak Marathi well, Rohit Sharma still refers to Mumbai as Bombay, in his informal conversations. I don't really consider them Marathi or Maharashtrians, they might be citizens of Maharashtr and have Maharashtr domicile but they are not Maharashtrians or Marathi. Of course, this is just my opinion, Somebody like Sumit Raghavan is a Maharashtrian, his parents are ideal parents and ideal citizens.

That is your personal take or what you consider them which does not matter . Who speaks well and who doesn't is not really the core of the post . Read it once again . Comprehend better .

My comprehension is alright.

You don't really get to decide whose opinion matters or doesn't matter. And I have already mentioned this is my opinion and this is a public forum,

In india, states are organised on linguistic criterion, Maharashtr was created because the language of the state is Marathi/Maharashtri, if you cannot speak the language of the state you are living in then it is shameful and I am being kind. Legally you might have a domicile of Maharashtr but you are not Maharashtrian if you cannot even speak basic Marathi. A Maharashtrian can be of any caste, creed, religion or whatever but the basic criterion is the language and you are eliminating that very basic criterion.

From no angle those guys you mentioned are Maharashtrians, except they have domicile of Maharashtr.

I can understand the inability to speak Marathi, if they have domicile of Maharshtr but do not live here, but that is not the case.

Your core of the post is they are Maharashtrians, I responded they are not.

They just live in Mumbai, that's all, they might as well live in Timbuktu.

Have I anywhere said or mentioned they speak marathi well . You may choose to have it as a criteria for being a Maharashtrian the Law doesn't . Don't Choose your words to shame players . They are meant to play cricket and win tournaments not for displaying linguistic expertise.

It's very easy to target and carry an hit job out of nothing . Being a Maharashtrian means living in Maharashtra for a certain specified length of time . Period . You don't ,as per your whims and fancies, get to dictate that .

Don't try and drag linguistic issues out of nowhere . You are welcome to give your opinion but don't try and negate others just for the heck of it or intentional show off of superior knowledge in trying to stay relevant..

You really have comprehension issues don't you ? You don't get simple argument and you tend to turn any opposing view into a personal affront, that reflects in you argument and language.

Where in the freaking world does the law come into this argument ? I have made it amply clear why I said what I said.

If you stay for generations in a state and you don't speak the language of the state, then certainly you can have domicile of that state legally, but IMO you don't to belong to that state.

How can you belong to that state, if you don't want to imbibe culture of that state, of which language is an inalienable part, is that so difficult to understand ? This is true of all cosmopolitan cities in the world, to make an exception for Mumbai or Maharashtr is being ridiculous. You are free to call the people you mentioned whatever you want, don't expect others to agree with you and don't attack them for having an opinion opposing to your opinion.

It is once again proven that players leaving MI shine elsewhere. Ishan kishan shined today for SRH.

I started watching first IPL match of the season MI vs CSK. Highly disappointed with MI batting. No hopes from Bumrah-less bowling either. CSK should easily win this match.

Now since you want to precipitate this matter further , I am a game . You tagged me to show case your arrogance . I didn't tag you . So get this straight first and foremost .

You lack basic manners and decorum in putting across your point .Calling someone as shameful based on your hollow impression is sickening and cringe to say the least . learn some basic manners and courtesies / decorum of how to address on a public forum...

I once again reiterate for your comprehension, Who is able to speak , how well he should speak and who is not is a personal opinion ...Don't start labelling people .and dragging issues out of nowhere to bleat your viewpoints .....Your standards will vary from mine and vice versa .To be disdainful and contemptuous of players of international repute who are not able to speak fluently is a shallow and cheap way of judging people ... Being opinionated on issues that have neither moral nor legal standing is laughable and atrocious ..

I don't judge people and men on what they speak and how well they speak .. I have my own set of values and Yes The people I mentioned very much are Maharashtrian even though they may not speak Marathi very well ..Take it or leave it

.
