IIFA dIARY

It's the day before the IIFA weekend kicks off in Bangkok, Thailand and it looks like all of Bollywood has been transported to BKK. Arshad Warsi with wife Maria, Zayed Khan, Apoorva Lakhia, Niketan Dheer, Manish Malhotra, Vikram Phadnis, Ramesh Sippy are just some of the celebrities who have already made their way to this buzzing city.



Here are just some of the interesting things that we managed to catch even before the day is over!

Naughty Naughty

We caught Ram Gopal Verma and Urmila Matondkar travelling on the same flight from Mumbai to Bangkok… coincidence we think not! Look's some relationships in Bollywood do last!

Bang! Boom!

The ever jovial Arshad Warsi has something else on his mind – he wants to blow up a Volkswagen in London! But wait a second aren't we in Bangkok?! Anyways the actor who will be turning producer soon has already planned out his first film and it will be shot entirely in London. And he wants us to tell anyone and everyone who has a Volkswagen and is ok with Warsi blowing it up… get in touch!!

Worried of KJO?

What's this we hear?! Urmila who herself is a hosting a show on television is worried about playing host on Sunday night's award ceremony. But it's not the mega night that is giving her jitters but the fact that she will need to deal with Karan Johar's theekhe one liners… sigh…what happened to out mast Urmila we wonder!

Drama Queens

Manish Malhotra and Vikram Phadnis are very worried. They are busy running from one end of the Dusit Thani hotel to the other completing their fittings for the fashion on show on Saturday! And that's not all. Manish is also designing the clothes for Kareena and Katrina performances so he's having way too much drama with these two Bollywood queens! (What? Did you think we called Manish and Vikram the drama queens!)

All in the Kapoor khandaan

If there is one family that can unarguably called the first family of Bollywood it's the Kapoors. And this year they've turned out in full force. While Kareena and Karisma are on their way we spotted Chimpu Kapoor who couldn't stop praising his nephew Ranbir. And in addition to that he said he was looking to forward to the fun, food and drinks at the event – and from the look of things he was already sampling all of them!

Big B's arrival

Amitabh Bachchan is expected at 6.25 am tomorrow and has a full packed day. Starting out with a business conference showcasing the business side of things of the IIFA and after that he will be laying a plantation at the venue. But it doesn't stop there! After that Mr. Bachchan heads off for his interviews and finally ends the day with the premiere of Sarkar Raj! They don't call him Big B for nothing now…do they?!
