Your post made it about J wanting that Haq from Ani… My point is Haq chahiye toh Haq jatana bhi padta hain…
On the one hand saying to your beloved… you have no right and then expecting him to assert his right - sorry maybe women are thinking in this twisted way and it may look cute to some folks but it pisses me no end cos it makes a mockery of relationships, concepts of consent … one of the characteristics of Ani that I have loved in this tale is his respect for space… it has been done very subtly… and nicely.. To see that mocked is really irritating.
Beautifully put, Rekha ji 👏
I also find it an extremely demeaning and disrespectful portrayal of women and relationships to show them thinking and behaving as such gaslighters that they secretly keep expecting assertion of haq from their beloved while outwardly demeaning and humiliating that beloved for even showing basic concern towards them. That is the worst kind of stereotype about women being promoted that they like to keep men hanging with conflicting messages.
Frankly that is abusive behavior and to see other women hailing that kind of thinking and behavior from Jhanak feels disturbing to say the least 🤷♀️….
