North India is also having same rituals to wear toe rings post marriage

In our culture toh bride's maternal uncle bring these toe rings and wearing ceremony happen in mandap only

In our culture one set from bride's side and other set from groom's side. Bride Maternal uncle makes her to wear at mandap. Post marriage at bride's place they is a ceremony " Padaharu Rojula Pandaga", during this ceremony yellow thread replaces with gold chain. Two set toe rings converted into one set.

Few are wearing gold toe rings also...still in our family and extended families prefer to wear Silver toe rings and only one standard design...no experiments no fancy designs.
