I get Shivani being grateful for Vidya giving her son some kind of motherly love, even if it was conditional, but Vidya was in that situation because she put herself in there. Why doesn't Shivani realize that the situation arose where she couldn't raise Armaan and Vidya had to, because Kaveri and Vidya orchestrated the whole thing?

And being grateful to the Poddars for giving Armaan shelter and a good education. Again, I understand that, too. She's a mother. She feels some sort of peace knowing that her son was safe, but this was his birthright. Staying at that house did more harm to Armaan than good, yeah, but enjoying the luxuries of that life was his right as a Poddar.

Imo Vidya isn't entirely wrong. She did keep Armaan above Rohit and Madhav. But she's mistaking obsession for love. She didn't love Armaan more than Rohit or Madhav. She's just more obsessed with him than the other two. Her obsession with Armaan is to say the least is disgusting. She has her own son and husband near her and still wants Armaan back.

Her obsession stems from the fact that he is literally the only person in her life that actually put her above everyone and everything, including his own self. He legitimately framed his wife in a fake bribery case because she instigated him for revenge, something Armaan would NEVER do even to his enemies, let alone his wife. This is not to say I am absolving him of that choice but just reiterating that she is capable of making him do things he would never do otherwise because that is how consumed he was, in gaining her acceptance and validation.

Totally agree with you. Its just during the outburst armaan literally listed all the injustices they did and shivani was standing right there. Like yes they did give him an education etc but also always reminded him they are doing him a favor. Constantly made him feel that if he steps out of line he will be shown the door. And always reminded him hes a sautela. Just thought at least based on the outburst, shivani would understand that even if he had a family, roof over his head his life wasnt super easy. He lived in constant fear of being rejected and thrown out

But then again the mother son duo hasnt even been given one proper chance at a good conversation

Because she knows her bio son doesnt worship her and has been “trying” to drop some truth bombs on her. She knows armaan was the only one who she had control over because he never questioned her at all
