Rohit knows that his mother is wrong, that's why he keeps taunting and calling her out. But in his mind it seems like his Armaan Bhaiya is the biggest victim. He keeps defending him and wanting to stand up for his rights, which is is nice, but what about Shivani? Does he think that his Armaan Bhaiya was wronged by his Dadisa and mother, but his precious mom was wronged by Shivani? Is that what it is? He just refuses to see Shivani as the victim that she is in the horrible acts of his elders.
And when it comes to Armaan taking help from Rohit.. They should keep a scene like the one you've mentioned, yeah. Rohit doesn't need to like her. It's completely understandable if he wants to keep his distance from her, but at least respect her as your brother's mother.
