Rohit needs to recognize that his mother is the other woman and not Shivani ….his grandmother and mother plotted to alienate a mother and a child from each other and a wife from her husband …they hid this monumental truth for thirty years …while he seems to recognize that, I am surprised he is not recognising that the biggest victim in all this is Shivani …all her rights were taken away from her …so no, she did not grab Vidya’s rights ..it was the other way round …it is just disgusting that Armaan would want to take the help of a man who treats his mother with disrespect…I hope they have a scene prior to the surrogacy track where Rohit realises how wrong he is in making Shivani seem the interloper or the outcaste

Shivani said what every other average indian mother would say.. my problem was more with the dialogue about attaching so much importance to baby being the ultimate happiness anyone can have! I mean I'm a mother and I can tell you it's soooo insensitive and regressive!! We as a society may have moved into 2025 but ITV is still stuck in the 1900s when it comes to glorifying motherhood as the one stop destination for all that is woman. Abhira went from being a woman who wanted to wait, establish her career and then have kids to being desperate for motherhood overnight. The infertility track was THE WORST because it stripped Abhira of everything that she was and by the end of it, her grief was barely touched upon. Grief over how Vidya treated her and the grief of losing BSP were completely brushed under the carpet. Now again for no fkn reason, motherhood dreams are back and I am 100% sure that track will be written & made with insensitivity and callousness.

Honestly I am not surprised. I have the most progressive mom anyone could ask for & when I got married her advice for me was trying for 2 years aur agar bachcha nahi hua toh get treated. No adoption, no not having kids. None of that is even an option. So I honestly have stopped even trying.

But I understand where they come from as adoption is a very very difficult process. Even if the family accepts it, duniya wale will make it into a huge deal - even if it isn't. And not having kids in an Indian setup woh bhi joint family - be prepared for the worst kind of emotional torture.

So I kind of understand the thought process behind it even if I don't agree to it
