I went and watched few scenes from the OG bengali show and it was a lot better in the romance department. There were 2nd SR after the wedding and when ML notices the FL being scared he used to hug her and console her.
Digvijay acts like a robot here which is a turn off for me. He is so immature sometimes that it gets on nerve. The ML in bengali version used to taunt Rani but he used to also show his love and care for her which was more realistic and natural.
I cannot understand The male lead here. I never understood why he was leading on Rani before the kaand and why is he keeps on blaming Rani after the kaand.
Bold: even I don't understand him and his actions. He shouts at her, then take care of her, then again shouts at her. And he rarely takes her side in front of the family, yet he consoles himself saying "acha insaan hu mai" (after he put the extra bed in the room).
But I am lowkey happy that there are not many romantic moments happening, especially another SR, because he needs some sort of redemption arc before any of that happens. I loved the way rani reminded him of his words when they had the chair moment couple of episodes ago, she is standing for her self respect and I am here for it! What would have been stupid was then showing Rani and digvijay being all lovey dovey after he insulted her and hurt her with his words, so it's better that they show small moments showcasing digvijay's actual intentions before moving any further.
I don't know what type of words the Bengali ML used for her, so cannot really comment on that, but the tone and words digvijay used here, it's better that we don't have another SR before he genuinely apologises.
But I still feel that digvijay is constant in his attitude and character, even if it irritates me, but he has been like that since the beginning and this was the reason why Anisha dumped him in the first place, he has always been like that and his family knows that too- he is like that tauji of the house whom everyone knows to keep a distance from.
