I still feel that if they plan to extend this pregnancy drama for close to 2 months, there is going to be a lot of stuff happening, including maybe a leap in plans. Coz even with the surrogacy & stuff it will take them a lot to sustain this plot for close to 2 months.

Also I kind of agree with Derry girl - I somehow don't think they plan to go the surrogacy way. The only other time they did in their previous show, the surrogate & father of the kid were almost like siblings - yahaan pe Armaan-Ruhi ka rishta is extremely complicated already for that situation to make sense.

If they really want to go the surrogacy way, they should have either Vidya (to WW) her or Charu do it (to involve Phupasa's in this whole ordeal) - that would up the drama quotient

Ruhi already had a baby of her own, so it would not really be as big as a conflict as it was in ghum, apart from Abhira getting taunted but woh toh roz hota hai thats nothing new.

No surrogacy happening abhira will conceive naturally
