Varun Chakaravarthy: It was a good wicket compared to the last wicket. It was not turning much. All I could do was stick it into the stump line and wait for the batter to make some mistake. I like bowling in the death and the powerplay, it is more challenging and gives me more opportunity to pick wickets. I like talking to Kuldeep, even Jaddu bhai and Axar, I am pretty new to this set up and am looking to build some nice bonds. It (the right foot) is a little sore. It is a gettable score if we bat well initially

Even if India would have travelled to Pakistan, all their matches were scheduled to be in Lahore, so even then they wouldn't have had to travel.

Indians bechare nahi haismiley37 nor do people hate hate ussmiley36

BCCI controls literally just about everyone including ICC.. there will be some cribbing and some exchange of words obviously. If we are subjected to all the trouble because of someone's neighbour and their internal issues, hum bhi toh crib karenge. It is not like we will be like chalo, lets take one for the team. Sportsmen are also human after all.

England are sore losers and biggest cheerleaders of Pakistan, their comments do not matter. They crib just about all the time. smiley37

New Zealand manage to go past 250 and that's an excellent effort considering the position they were in. 50 runs came off the last 5 overs and that won't really please India. It was India's spinners that tied New Zealand up once again. Opting to bat, they got off to a rollicking start and were 69/1 after 10 overs. That's when India's spinners came in to seize control.

Pacers were being stuck, not sure why Rohit didn't complete Akshar's two overs. At least 10 runs could have been saved

Indian spinners put up a splendid show, helping the side restrict New Zealand for 251 for 7 in 50 overs in the final of Champions Trophy 2025 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Kuldeep Yadav (2 for 40) and Varun Chakravarthy (2 for 45) picked two wickets apiece while Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Shami scalped one wicket each after New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner won the toss and opted to bat. Daryl Mitchell (63) and Michael Bracewell (53) played crucial knocks for the Blackcaps, who fought back in remarkable fashion towards the end to post a fighting total.

Kewadoo: "India will chase this down in 40 overs without Matt Henry to deal with. Virat Kohli to score a century and player of the tournament."

Mustafa Moudi: "With Both the Pacers conceding over 8 an over, Think Rohit should have completed Axar's Quota !!"

4.30pm So, New Zealand smash 79 runs in the last ten overs, the most that India have conceded in this phase of CT '25 as NZ post 251 for 7. The first eight-odd overs belonged to NZ, the last ten overs belonged to them, but barring that, it was all India all the way through. The Indian spinners ruled like they have all tournament. Thirty-eight overs were bowled by spinners and they kept at it, not giving the NZ batters an inch. Rachin Ravindra was off to a flier, scoring 37 off 29 balls. But once he, Williamson and Young fell in quick succession, the Indian spinners were all over NZ. The difference can be figured out by the fact that the spinners bowled 38 overs for 144 runs and five wickets, while the fast bowlers bowled 12 overs for 104 for a wicket. Mitchell and Bracewell scored fifties but rather contrasting ones. Surely, India will be the happier side going into the break. Can NZ make a match out of this? Find out in a bit.
