Even Shruthi Rawat who plays chachisaa in her Anti-abhimaan era used to share saanp emoji in her insta stories whole heartily accepting that audience hate her for that behaviour.

But theother shruthi is just another level.

I would say this whole household crap dramas have become so common nowadays whether its ITV or any Pakistani drama. Its been a while since I have watched any Pakistani drama aswell because as a viewer I'm tired of watching the same old crappy storylines.

This drama was far more progressive in the first gen. Akshara and Naitik had such a healthy and progressive relationship. Ofcourse the Singhaniyas were also a bit toxic and problematic but as the gen progressed, the change could be seen. This show was known for its simplicity rather than the same typical storylines that we have today.

If an actor is joking around and acknowledging the audience's reaction in a fun way, that’s fine—it shows they understand the impact of their character. But if they start justifying toxic actions offscreen just to defend their role, that’s a whole different issue. It stops being about the character and starts sounding like personal bias.

It’s one of my favorite movies, but looks like hating on YJHD is the latest trend.

Actors too are human beings and come from the same crowd as other people. Just like many delusional people among audience justify toxic characters, in the same way it's not surprising that even some actors might be delusional enough to justify their characters. Second reason may be because they are scared of the makers wrath that’s why refrain from being critical.

Problematic writing stays problematic, no matter who defends it. Other actors playing grey or villainous roles don’t feel the need to justify their characters, so if this was purely about production pressure, we'd see the same across the board.

Also let’s not ignore the fact that most delusional fans tend to be younger, but Shruti is 40+ and a public figure—people look up to her. Sure, actors are human and make mistakes, but this isn’t a one-time thing. If you’ve seen her past interviews, especially with Sid Kannan, you’d know how quickly she badmouthed Shehzada and Pratiksha after they quit. Compare that to Anita Raaj or even younger actors like Sam, who handled the same situation with far more grace.

What message is she really sending? That justifying wrong actions is acceptable? That believing you're always right makes you right? That stepchildren deserve mistreatment? That playing the victim is the way to go whenever things don’t go your way?

I am not justifying anyone here. Not a fan to take a stand for her. There's a huge chance that it's the show's decorum and code of conduct that an actor is not allowed to criticise his/her character. Even an employee who works in a company producing junk food will not publicly criticise the produce as unhealthy.

And your statement that delusional fans tend to be in the younger age bracket is totally wrong, as if delusional people don't grow old !!!! . Whatever be the case , whether it's the code of conduct or the actor's own delusional personae, nothing justifies the defending of a toxic character.

Vidya is a weird character, I don't think she used Armaan , she does love him but it's very conditional. Also, it's weird that the actor always tries to portray Vidya as some saint in her interviews. I agree that Vidya was wronged, she didn't even know the man she is getting married to had a wife and son, she came to know after marriage, and she supported Kaveri poddar in her plan so that she doesn't lose her husband and Armaan. I can sympathise with her a little, but Vidya is such a delulu character who can go bonkers at any moment, that I am unable to like her. Also it doesn't change the fact that Vidya is an accomplice, when she came to know Shivani is alive, why did she let everyone believe that Shivani is dead . She is wrong.

Writing is pathetic, no character is worthy to root in this generation, not even the leads. All are crazy.
