She’ll comfort Armaan after everyone taunts him for being a stepchild, acting all sympathetic—only to retreat to her room later, shedding tears over her own misery and turning herself into the real victim of the story.

Actually if she was had even a pea sized brain she'd speak up for Armaan in public at least to gain brownie points from him but she doesn't because her hate, venom & self victimization is bigger than anything. So on what basis does she expect forgiveness when even jhut mut ka she's not spoken up for the child she claims to have apnaoed

Hain na? Like, bare minimum strategy bhi nahi samajh aati isko? At least pretend to stand up for Armaan in public—thoda dikhawa hi kar leti to earn some sympathy points. But no, her self-pity and toxicity are way too deep-rooted for that. And then she expects forgiveness? For what, exactly?

Your right. But in jamai raja since it was my most favorite show but the writing was shit. After some time. Only in the Begining we had fun episodes. She was not as toxic as she is as vidya . In the beginning she was really a good mother and mother in law. But after that she turned into a toxic ml but in that serial she was not so hypocrite she was negative on the face. But those who have not watched should watch it its amazing in the beginning it has really good content .

Yes even I really liked that show in the beginning but wohi baat hai na writers agay jakay sab spoil kardete hain Even in Sasural genda phool her character was not toxic in the start but wohi phir dauray parne lagay isko agay jakay

The whole “Rishta Wahi, Soch Nayi” tagline feels like a joke when the content being pushed is the same old regressive nonsense. If anything, these shows reinforce outdated mentalities rather than challenge them. And you’re absolutely right—TV influences households more than people realize. When toxic family dynamics are constantly normalized on screen, it just gives validation to the same behavior in real life.

Audiences deserve better than recycled plots and problematic narratives disguised as entertainment. If they really want to bring nayi soch, they need to stop glorifying toxic relationships and start showing healthier, more progressive dynamics. But as long as TRPs keep rolling in, these writers seem to have no intention of changing.

I would say this whole household crap dramas have become so common nowadays whether its ITV or any Pakistani drama. Its been a while since I have watched any Pakistani drama aswell because as a viewer I'm tired of watching the same old crappy storylines.

This drama was far more progressive in the first gen. Akshara and Naitik had such a healthy and progressive relationship. Ofcourse the Singhaniyas were also a bit toxic and problematic but as the gen progressed, the change could be seen. This show was known for its simplicity rather than the same typical storylines that we have today.
