COVID ke baad se hi itv ka downfall shuru hua hai . Covid ke pehle se decent trp aati thi ab to 2 highest trp ho gayi hai.
Nah, even during covid times, Ghum, Imlie, Anupama launched and were getting 3+ TRP. Even Rishta Gen 3 was pulling 3+. It’s just in the last 1-2 years that ITV’s standards dropped hard with the same old repetitive stuff. No freshness left.
When Upma started, it had a fresh concept about struggle, but instead of keeping it short and impactful, they’re just dragging it in circles, making Upma a loser every time. Same thing with every show. Rishta should’ve ended in Season 2, but they’ve been stretching it for 15 years now with a doormat FL and ML.Gen 4 of Rishta only hit its highest TRP (2.4) during the baby swap track, when it was in second place that's the only time for time. Now, there are too many channels for aunties to pick from.
Tbh, they should’ve ended Ghum after season 1, but nah, they brought Ghum 2. Even then, they could’ve wrapped it up properly with Ishvi, but nope—they went ahead with 2.5, straight-up copying yhm. And guess what? They didn’t even get the trp they wanted. No offense, but let’s be real—if 2.5 didn’t have Savi and they cast some random girl with Hitesh while copying yhm, it wouldn’t have even lasted 2 months. That’s just facts. The pointless strecthing of shows is the reason of trp dipped nd reduced quality
