Imaginary scene in my head goes sort of like this :

Armaan says - atleast mummy has you and you have been a wonderful son….i have already made the mistake of prioritizing everyone over Abhira before and I cannot do it again…(Abhira hears this and gets super emotional )

Following which RK says - to me she is like my own mother - she has spent years and years looking for you and I have seen her suffer so much - I would never do a thing as cruel as taking you away from her again. I just wanted to check ke is baar aap Abhiraji ke saath phir to nahi chod denge.

In my head this is what happened. And I move on.

If the choice was real Ar picking his mother who he thought was dead over 30 years isn't the issue but RK saying and Ar actually listening actually my issue

And in 2-3 episodes he will have to pick between vidya maa and shivani maa 😂- the guy should just say I pick you all - but whoever has a problem with the other - you can just leave from my life. But I will not choose. Full stop. Ajeeb tamasha banake rakha hai bhai.

Armaan's guilt for RKs state to the extent that he chooses to take his ultimatum given in drunk state so seriously makes no sense. as Armaan himself pointed out, both women are not toys, they have their own feelings. so its not like if he chose one, the other person would simply agree to be with RK - no questions asked. By choosing Shivani has Armaan ensured that Rk suddenly has haq over Abhira to be her lover, her spouse etc?! And if he chose Abhira, would Shivani decide she'd never see Armaan's face again and remain with RK. If he really felt bad for separating RK from Shivani he can have an arrangement. Infact he can even suggest that Shivani can spend a few months with him every year. My grandma had 6 kids, she'd take turns spending 2-3 months at each kids house. RKs onesided feelings for Abhira is nobody's problem except RKs.

I understood Abhira's rationale of staying away , letting Armaan make his own decision but dont understand her being cool with him not picking her again. Armaan did have the choice to pick both women and reject RKs ultimatum

The plot could be executed well! Somehow they messed it up!! They could show RK as shivani’s son, I don’t mind him staying with abhimaan and may be ship charu to him!

I somehow can’t digest Ar choosing maa!! Why is ab’s trauma not addressed! In the future I have no hopes Ar sa will support Ab, she is the first person to get blamed! I really want Abhimaan together but it was not executed properly !!

to me their decision to have Abhira herself say he should put mumma over all else seems like a bad foreshadowing for more issues in future where as usual Abhira pays the price.

I liked the fact that Armaan acknowledged that he took Ab for granted and assumed that she'd be with him no matter what he did /said to her. if he wants to punish himself for that, great! but he cant do so by punishing Abhira as well. usne kya galti ki hai that she also needs to suffer. she told him she cant live without him, she loves only him. so if she loses him she is also gonna be punished.

Who the heck is RK to offer any ultimatum?! Armaan is affected by RKs words bcoz he is grateful to him for being the son Armaan couldnt be all these years- ok great. so then offer a practical solution to make sure RK is also always Shivani's beta. how does picking Shivani over Abhira bcoz RK offered that ultimatum solve the problem of RK losing his parent figure forever. Coz its not like Abhira is gonna go marry RK if Armaan picks Shivani over her.

I expected ki Ar will say to Rk I can’t live without Maa and Ab… he also told RK that he knows that he loves Ab and Ab doesn’t! But how can he take a decision to leave Ab, it means he is shipping Ab to RK forcefully!

Simple thing they could’ve done as you said is maa can stay few days with RK and few days with Ar..!! Atleast in the upcoming ep they better show how Ar should be grateful he has ab with him !!
