You are absolutely correct. But they're focusing more on armaan's issues while abhira's are swept under the rug, like they didn't utilize IR correctly, which could have been a whole track itself. When problems in abhira's concieving came, it was all about armaan's pain while abhira's was not mentioned much. Abhira who can't take any crap against her loved ones never bothered to find out aarohi's accident truth. That akshara's last phone call secret which was revealed to KV by MG, was burried just like that. I am not saying that don't focus on armaan but writers can go in parallels. Its not that armaan's character has more depth, but depth of abhira's character and issues are not being explored correctly, despite having same (or maybe more) depth as armaan's. And I blame writers for that.

The way this family treats Armaan is so inhumane, it makes my blood boil. mujhe chahiye but the problem is woh abhira se related hote hi nahi. Usmein bas ruhi ruhi and ruhi hoti hai .I hate i hate it so much. Abhira ke baare mein toh kuch hota hi nahi hai.
