It will always remain a cult classic in starplus .. that’s why Starplus gave both the leads a heroic farewell.. which they refused to do in their other popular shows ,

and anooj for all the awards and hoopla was left hanging in a tree like a mad person .. other person with a massive Fandom and amazing set of awards was left buried on earth with not even a dog crying for him or remembering him

virat and Sai were mentioned honourably till the end of season 3

I didn't know Anupama se aisi exit huyi thi....yeah I agree ghum was classic and Sairat were given so much importance as farewell still in season 3 they have given them importance......infact as what I know they even dedicated episodes remembering Sairat and Virat's last mission in Ishvi, even in rishta things have got worse, abhira wasn't child of Abhimanyu......

My two cents on the whole ghum low trp debacle:

The generation leap had a great opening trp of 2.2 which was great! However, the revamp unknown leads (although in season 2 only shakti was the known one amongst the three just like this time Param was). Ghum (is the baby of cockrow) because this was one of their most successful projects and I don't think so they would let it go off air so easily. In fact I believe they let deewaniyat go off air this easily was because they wanted to invest in Ghum (the revamp). The story has just started and would always have been filler. The 7:50 timeslot was a very stupid decision. In fact they just wanted the last trp to see which show fails so that they can fit ghum there and give jaadu the 8pm slot. With the story I still believe the ghum is gonna go good (not 2+ trp but better than it's current). Also the legacy thing is not which is even helping shahi right now it helped only during Naira and Akshara. So legacy thing is something which I believe isn't something you can really blame. The only thing to blame is the story which they would definitely turn around before IPL to revive the shown

Moral of the story? Leads matter offcourse, but acting, screen presence, and villains are just as important. No villains = no spice = no long-running show.

Definitely solid story works I have said this earlier too JT was equally important as of Sairat in GC.....and in CN- PL/ Kaku ke gharelu dramas....

My point was if show only works on generational policy or dramas, then they shouldn't continue.....season 1 was iconic everyone was giving their best and especially writing, the way stories were mould but Ishvi though maintained in top5 like 1st but still it will be considered failure as it mostly worked because of Sairat ki continuacy, infact Ishaan changed himself to dummy Virat for Savi's dreams....

If ghum is really a successful craft toh they should prove it in this generation.....when a show gets numbers there are multiple reason it's not hall drama it's Devikit story Ajinkya Amey kaand it's about Mahabaleshwar Shruti and everything else including Ashwini Ninad to Mirchi Modak....a flow which connects audience....

Imo if a show has had the potential to be number 1 at a time it means it was the story which also means that they have the potential to draw the same trp back. Because even if the story is changed the storytellers haven't

no seriously. whatever show I see to ends up having a very short life span. itv mein hota rehta hai yeh sab. SP is lalchi for TRPs without giving a proper slot and time for the generation to pick up..

woh kehte haina, there is resources available for everyone's need but nothing for someone's greed. SP will not be content even Ghum retains its position as the slot leader

aur abhi kahaan band hua hai ?? even if they think of putting an end to this gen - they will do it only after IPL.. ipl ke waqt they'll not risk introducing any new shows, especially for the prime time slots.

I think legacy matters. I've nothing to do with legacy. But in my opinion, viewers feel emotionally connected with the female leads when they are shown as the daughters of previous female leads. Even if you look at an American tv show named The Legacy I think many people watched the show only because it was based on Klaus Michaelson's daughter. Klaus Michaelson has a huge fan following all over the world! They saw his daughter as a kid in The Originals. They were curious whether Hope Michaelson would be as powerful as her hybrid father.

If show works well then koi dikkat nhi hai.... She looks good I won't say Ayesha and Bhavika was better.....I used to like the first but still she had flaws and second one was college girl types.....haan many times Aishwarya was looking quite good they changed her into aunty after leap though, even Sai if seen....Virat ko toh aise looks diye the my god....

legacy works even worked for rishta in akshara (og) and naira context because people had seen naira grow through the akshara season

Ghum viewers have very specific expectations in their mind - hall drama, sanskari ( read torturous ) an ambitious FL and a ML who has family values - even to the detriment of his self. Being a not-so-apparent red flag.. sometimes. This worked for s1 and s2. SaRaj did not get the TRP like before they tried to copy a show which was successful in the past but Savi was not Ishita so it did not work, but inspite of all this the ratings did not slip because the family drama compensated for it.

ab there is no drama in Ghum - that is the gharelu wala. its a simple love story where the male lead is fascinated by a girl and she is smitted with someone else. all this is not very abnormal which will take some time getting used to people who have been subjected to abject toxicity for more than 2.5 years. Star Plus is getting impatient because they need TRPs to soar like 2.6+ but they are also not investing on promoting the story.

The story needs a revamp - some story that has plenty of melodrama, Neil needs to become a red flag, albeit a well intentioned one, and the FL needs to be assert her independence, which will happen only after the wedding... so they might fast track to the wedding ; since shaadi always brings TRP. - especially a dramatic one.

We will be able to see the OG ganjaverse then
