First season of Ghum worked not just cuz of Sairat, but cuz it had a solid story—kalesh, love triangle, and all that drama. Yeah, Sairat was a major major TRP puller, but let’s be real, no itv show survives just by showing lead romance 24/7. Ghum 1 clicked cuz of villains like Pakhi and Bhavani Kaku—people legit hated them, which kept the drama spicy. That mix made it a big hit.

Ghum 2 worked in the Ishvi era cuz they kept the drama high. Trp was solid at 2.5-2.6 when all the kalesh was happening. They gave strong villain presence like Rao Saheb and Akka Saheb, plus the leads was Shakti. But then ipl hit, trl dropped to 1.9, and after the love confession, makers prob felt there was no story left. So—7-year leap, hoping for 2.5+ trl. But they flopped tryna copy yhm and never hit their target. Only on the last day, Saraj got 2.8.

Moral of the story? Leads matter offcourse, but acting, screen presence, and villains are just as important. No villains = no spice = no long-running show.

Iss season ki story ko set up karne mein bas thoda time lag gya. But based on the promos and storyline, mohit's first wife is gonna be hella toxic till teju gets married and once they're married they might pull a vidya 2.0 and sanjay phupha 2.0 with neil's mother and kaka saheb

And trp audience ko i dont think so farak padta hai ki kya legacy hai, till the time unko entertainment milega. And agar iss season ko behenkar toxic bana diya toh legacy ki zarurat bhi nhi padegi iski trp revive karne ke liye

S1 worked bcoz of the strong characters , bhavani kaku had a different aura , Sai was a strong FL with opinions & ML had different shades & was not a head nodding robot , pakhi's kalesh as third angle were entertaining....& Major plus point was trp aunties love sautan fights & drama

Here this gen appears bland & boring where both leads need character changes & no other strong character being there with third angle being a guy which is not a bonus in terms of trp as aunties mostly love 2 girls fighting for a guy...

Trp will still increase after marriage but not as high as they are expecting bcoz they need to make lot of changes to get high numbers...let's see which show they copy after marriage as even they understood phagun bou clearly dosent fit in ghum land

yes true legacy S1 was not a trp topper or even no 2 that time it was Diya bati , sathiya and ipkknd and behna .. later on it stayed on and on.. colors also had Balika vadhu and zee had bhagyas at top 5

But sathiya and Diya baati always got more trp

s3 was never 1 or 2 .. it was Ma, Ghum and tamarind

s3 was mostly at no 4

Ma, Ghum and tamarind all were new shows and got fabulous ratings because of strong performance of the leads .. so legacy does not matter if the leads are impressive and the story has something for audience

7:30 is a good time for them cuz less competition. Ekta’s show Parineeti is also at 7:30 and gets good TRP. Ghum 3 has a better story than Parineeti tbh. But let’s see, ppl saying even 1.6 TRP at 7:30 would be a big deal cuz of the storyline.

I can understand because Satya became despo and Sai was crossing lines toh they generated hope.....

As Sai was sleeping with him and never truly offended when he was lifting in arms ,fixing her hair infact she was helping him wear his shirt and allowed Satya to give her comforting hugs plus other areas where the guy was walking half nude and he was trying different ways to get close.... if you remember what they did in hospital where Satya got over Sai in front of everyone and then Sai went back got over him after closing cabin was like mujhse control nhi hota......so they did dirty with Sai's character in the end to match levels with Satya who was flirting with every women and was even judged by PPL.....worst was Sai was loving Virat at the same time....

Problem was why they were thinking ki Sai can love any other guy than Virat even if I keep aside kids or PL agar hoti bhi, you can sense how Sai was craving for Virat she didn't have hesitation in giving him hugs and was sharing close moments everywhere.....even being married.....

They should change the FL immediately like Rajan Shahi does if the makers want to save the show . Ghum always had very beautiful FLs even PL were very pretty.. this one is too average ..

Vaibhavi’s first show—I saw a clip where she was fighting with the villain, and honestly, she lacked the angsty vibes in crying scenes too. Idk how they even selected her in the first place. Like yeah, Bhavika wasn’t great in her first show either, but she did 2-3 more, and by the time she joined Ghum, her acting was good. This is only Vaibhavi’s second show.

Also, look at that guy Shivam—he really thinks he and Adrija are making Umpa a hit. But if Rupali and those messy drama characters weren’t there, Umpa wouldn’t even get trps. Remember when Anuj was still around, and Umpa got stabbed? Grandma nd trp aunties was literally crying in front of the TV, lmao.

Anyway, back to the point—they need to replace her or do something with her character idk 🥲

@bold Agree to everything. This Bengali show ain't it for the Ghum audience. Trp viewers never vibe with two guys fighting over one girl—they prefer the other way around, two women fighting for one man. They like a bold, outspoken FL, not a passive one. This season's characters are bland. Yeah, Neil's character is decent good guy , but he's got no layers—just a goody-two-shoes. Trp aunties wanna see a toxic ML and an FL fighting him, that's their thing. Sitara already told Ghum makers to change the OG story—the pacing is way too slow. They gotta make a ton of changes before they even dream of hitting a 2 trp

I don't think so 7:30 pm they are gonna go so paranoid for getting a 2 trp. Because maati was like below 1.5 even parineeti for that matter so anything above 1.5 can act as a lifeline for this show. Ps with IPL coming they just want to establish the story so that the audience can hook on to it even during IPL warna agar they don't catch the audience before IPL toh off air jaldi hoga
