Even Anupama’s ml, Shivam—who used to play a side character in Rishta—was fine as a brother, but as an ML? Bro is the most flavorless, dry ml ever. No depth in his crying, angst, or romance.

Also, they gotta change the story or Neil’s character if they want this show to survive. At the end of the day, TV shows are a business, and you gotta sell what the audience wants, or else the money flow is gone. Sitara ain’t gonna do Ghum any favors. And the biggest mistake they did is No generation leap which turn off half of trp aunties. Smh.🚶🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

It is not ML vs FL. The Gen was intense because both were good characters to watch. Saiya fans calling Sai bikau was just their frustration that Sai did not go to “green flag” Satya. I keep saying that TV serials depend on business and not story. If the Gen was ending why would FL go to a guy of 3 months instead of ML? It was Sairat who gave them numbers 2.5 straight years.

It is always business that drives the story.

Exactly first priority of makers is to give what audience wants it's a million dollar business which doesn't work as per logic instead connectivity....

Saiya fans ka I don't know why they thought Sai will chose any guy over Virat with whom she had kids and it was just their differences otherwise toh they both loved each other so much and shared a long history....in rishta Akshara and Abhinav had a foundation but there was nothing for Saiya which can't be called truly even friendship....just colleagues forcefully joined for drama....

And haan I never discussed about Satya with you

He forgot Girija in two days, wasn't maintaining lines with ladies even at workplace and then married Sai when he knew about Sairat and kids uske baad in deal marriage was expecting HM....is this definition of Green flag let aside uski family....

Nah, this ain't even close to Ghum 1 & 2 Ishvi era with Akka Saheb. The story pace is way too slow. Vaibhavi might improve over time, but tbh, big-budget shows should avoid actors from Dangal channel. Not saying they're all bad, but their acting is way weaker compared to actors from Star, Colors, or even Sony. Dangal caters to low-budget, low-effort audiences.

When Ghum started it was a new story only not a legacy story ..

They need " toxic , kalash plot " possibly triangle with good performance but how well actors perform also if the plot is not right nothing works ...Acting alone is not enough..This story lacks that " Zest factor" ...

More over for Sai and Sathya it was a marriage of convenience only ..Sai & Virat had two children together and Pakhi was no more in their life ...Why would Sai choose Sathya 🤔..Even Satya asked her to move on and requested Virat to do some thing about it ..When Sathya himself wanted her to choose what was the trouble...Kuch bhi bolte hai fans

That's what I wanted to write ghum is successful because of Sairat not legacy, second and third didn't even work if seen....so if makers don't have the creativity to attract audience then problem is in them not generation principle....

It's not only kalesh or toxicity there is something off about plot and characters as already said they have enough for drama isse jyaada nhi de sakte but they are making it worse over to that channel isn't supporting......

I am waiting till this show covers and actors get the flow par abhi fika hai thora....

Exactly!! That's what I've been saying. Ghum 1 stand alone show that and it worked wayyy betterrr than the legacy season 1 and season 3 had. And trp audience ko i dont think so farak padta hai ki kya legacy hai, till the time unko entertainment milega. And agar iss season ko behenkar toxic bana diya toh legacy ki zarurat bhi nhi padegi iski trp revive karne ke liye

Ghum 2 worked in the Ishvi era cuz they kept the drama high. Trp was solid at 2.5-2.6 when all the kalesh was happening. They gave strong villain presence like Rao Saheb and Akka Saheb, plus the leads was Shakti. But then ipl hit, trl dropped to 1.9, and after the love confession, makers prob felt there was no story left. So—7-year leap, hoping for 2.5+ trl. But they flopped tryna copy yhm and never hit their target. Only on the last day, Saraj got 2.8.

Moral of the story? Leads matter offcourse, but acting, screen presence, and villains are just as important. No villains = no spice = no long-running show.

Also! I have a feeling that at the 7:30 slot the show is gonna do better than it was doing at 8pm with the revamp. And tbh it's a better slot for the show considering the ipl season will start in March. And 7:30 ke slot pe thoda zyaada leverage mil jaayega show ko because 8pm is kinda prime slot and uspe zyaada risk nhi le sakte hain
