She still can play cricket, only not in national or international tournaments...or she can be a coach of a cricket team...this transgender debate had been already at the last Olympics and until one doesn't find another rule one can adapt for all transgender people, I find it fair to have the no-participation rule in official tournaments.

Anyways, someone wanting to persue a sports career - for now - has to make the decision which compromise is more important: either changing the gender according to the one felt inside or a career in the sport one excells in.

Sanjay Bangar is in news more for this now than his commentary. It's the child s personal choice but the parents might have got a shock. Heard the child stays n Manchester. Don't know why but felt bad for Sanjay......but then all news dies down now faster than it starts off.

His son's decision certainly wasn't easy to deal with...we don't know how the equation is now (and had been) between both of them.

When a son is gay, a straight father may not be happy about that but at least, the guy still is his son. However, I can imagine how difficult it can be for a father to get it into his system that a son has now become a daughter... I'm quite sure that most men have different kind of feelings towards a son than towards a daughter.

It’s great to see more stories like this being shared, as they help normalize conversations around gender identity and transition. Making the decision to undergo hormone therapy is deeply personal and takes a lot of courage, especially in the public eye.
