Usama is doing QEJ on Hum right now where he is getting a lot of praise. This FI show is for Hum also. So Usama was able to wash off the SMD taint by disassociating himself from SMD and hyping his role/show (Burhan/QeJ) which is getting a lot of appreciation. That's what reviewers have said so many times that thank God Usama has QEJ on air where he is able to show that he can act well so people are not stuck with labeling him as a bad actor based on SMD. Also the show was not sold on his name.

Must be to pacify Wahaj fans after this debacle.

They sold the drama on just those few minutes in the last episode. 50% OST/teaser scene yahi se mile hain. So it wasn't added later. It was definitely not in script and Haseeb inserted it as lollipop to viewers.

Wahaj ki koi ek aur bestie ko dhoond laate hain and make him/her the first lead. Kyunke Wahaj apne besties ke liye Ramu Kaka ka role bhi role kar lega while letting us sell it as his drama.

Makers need to understand these scenes that to have resonance or connect with these scenes, and for them to not seem strange and out of place,the re needs to be propercbuild-up. For 39 episodes, you failed to tell a love story/romance where one gets to see relationship development, how they fell in love, how love and intimacy gradually developed between the two, etc. Phir last episode main you cram in so much romance and relationship moments in 10 minutes. It felt so rushed.
