I agree trp matters but they have never utilized romantic Abhimaan even 50% of what they had done to Kiara. What would have gone if they include some janmashtami type sequences or just bf gf wala cute scenes atleast at regular intervals. They literally never gave us a proper after shaddi moments literally zero. We are okay with drama but include some positive scenes in between.

I think the ITV topography has changed since Kaira years to now.. look around in the other shows . Only crap is being watched and fetching TRPs.. just tears and drama and toxicity.. with random lollipops in between... Which also Rishta does heaps better than the other shows...

5 -6 years ago, the overall content was very widely different.. the likes of Ghum etc is what started the whole terribly toxic trend and every other show us now in a rat race to do the same to stay on top of the game! Ship, leads n all comes after..

Phir bhi current shows mein se decently watchable Rishta hi Hai.. including the sporadic romance a d despite the likes of pancake.

Dekho mujhe kya mila - Phupasa in an older life along with a mother that was the epitome of evilness (also miss Ekta ke earlier shows which were so much more pulpy than her current Bhagyas)
