I’ve said this before, legacy is a big part of ITV, whether ppl agree or not. It’s facts. Legacy always matters in ITV. Savi worked cuz she’s been around since 2022 as baby Savi. Audiences connected with her through Sairat and wanted to see her journey. Savi was introduced and promote by Sai and Virat themselves in Gen 2, so ppl already cared about her.

Here, the new leads weren’t even connected to the previous gen, so there’s an instant disconnect for the audience. If Savi wasn’t Sai’s daughter and was introduced the way they introduced this new fl Teju, it wouldn’t have worked either, and that's how simply it is🤷🏻‍♀️ Even after IshVi ended, ppl still watched for Savi. Now that her story is over, Sairat’s legacy is done too.

why you think Shahi is all about legacy fls cuz he is smart. Even Ekta uses fl as legacy kids in her flop Zee shows. Another issue is the story pacing—it’s mad slow. And tbh, Trp Aunties love kalesh and drama. Rishta’s trp is low rn cuz no one cares about their dumb leads’ DDP, which is why they’re pulling stuff like bride swapping to grab trps.

Making this a separate show wouldn’t have worked either. Ganja’s recent show Deewaniyat flopped hard—they shut it down in a month. If this was a separate show, these actors would’ve faced the same fate fr.

100% agreed!! the story is so boring nothing can really save it rn. only advantage they have is of the ghum name which gives them a little credibility and the chance to increase the trp because if legacy is really an issue they would pull out the legacy out of nowhere as well. I read on reddit that some people thought that Neil is saraj's son (now this is something they can pull off in the next week because in the og as well the ml was an adopted child)

All they do is troll, call new leads ugly or chomu, and hype up their favs. But at the end of the day, trp aunties run the show. That’s where the trp comes from, and that’s why makers switch tracks based on what trp audience likes, not the random whims of online fans.

Exactly!! all the tweets going around on twitter regarding the new cast/show dont really matter and tbh trp aunties dont really care about if saraj have gone or not. They arent really there to find connections. They just want to watch some brainrot content (which is the kalesh) and not bollywood type of filmy romance (the audience for that is sony) which is why content on star plus is so cringe and weird

Teju young hai to relationship ke liye uska POV 'Me-centric' zyaada hai. Like she prayed that she should be equal to Ruturaj and fulfil her father's dream of becoming a famous singer before marrying Rutu. Then how can she expect that Ruturaj should keep her above his career? Rutu ke bhi kucch dreams honge regarding his career. And if we see by Neil's story how he was not allowed to pursue his singing for pursuing a more respectable medical profession, Rutu must've faced the same struggles too. Yet he overcome them all and made a place in the music scene. Ab har koi Neil ki tarah nahi hota, ki Teju ke parents ne bola and vo apna medical camp chhorkar unke saath monastery aa gaya. And frankly vo trope mujhe pasand bhi nahi hai when male lead forgets all his own ambitions, dreams and duties and dedicated his existence to fulfil female lead's dreams. I mean male lead should be supportive towards female lead's dreams and should do his best to get them fulfilled, but he must have his own identity and independent dreams and ambitions too.

They would bring default scene of Neil knowing the truth, his heart breaking, him drinking too much and creating a ruckus in the hall with shocked expression on the faces of all family members. Neil's mom, Manjari blaming Teju for the fiasco, Teju giving some savage reply to all of them and being rude towards Neil. I guess it would help with TRP once they bring that heartbreak track.

the og story after 200 episodes is very kaleshi (i dont know what the trp was during the marriage track) but after their first separation the lead got separate 5-6 times and neil's character because he is kinda naive did so many weird things that i couldnt sit through it. like their first separation happened when neil's sister in law caught teju and rituraj talking in neil's absence and they got separated for a good 20-30 episodes. they even showed neil's elder brother having an affair and cheating on his wife

they are definetly gonna mess up neil's character once he gets to know the truth and tbh that would be the best way atleast he would have a reason to be so bitter

This is what I fear. Every person in extended family having 2-3 extramarital affairs, one/two secret kids each, leads separating again and again due to something that has zilch to do with them. Female lead living in another town with a different name and as the wife of a nice guy who remains unfazed even after leads having lovey dovey scenes. During separation, leads adopting one kid each who become friends at school.
